Sorry guys, un-researched question here. My friend just bought an 1125r ( an '08 w/ 28 mi. for 8k!) and is wanting to pipe it. He converted from the rockets.Any suggestions to look into would be appreciated (I'm an xb rider, what can I say?). Thanks in advance. |

Really? I had no idea he was doing 1125 pipes as well. Thanks, I'll pass it on. Marcus |

IF price was no object I'd go for these pipes in the following order: 1) 'TBA' Free Spirits Full Sys 2) Termigoni Full Sys a) HPE Slip-on b) Torque Hammer Slip-on c) Drummer Slip-on d) HMF Slip-on e) Jardine Slip-on f) Saron Slip-on g) D&D Slip-on h) HR1 Riot Slip-on i) Remus Slip-on Criteria I based this list on is: Raw power, Aesthetics & Sound. This is of course my subjective opinion if I had all the money in the world - which I don't - which is why I'll be more than happy with the HMF I hope to have coming soon! |

I really love my HMF. At first I thought it was too loud, but I think I have gotten used to it, or deaf, but I love the sound. Fit/finish/look of the pipe are great. If money were no object, I would love to have the Buell Race System or the Torque Hammer. |

i would look first for his needs, low end torque or high end torque on rpm, or both. i think the list will change when you look for a exhaust with a lot of low end torque.., looks is in my oppinion not an issue, if i sit on the bike, i don't see the exhaust (-; |

Easyrider - I've read your ENTIRE archived notes on developing the Torque Hammer and came away very impressed. While to a certain extent I have to agree with you about the looks 'not being an issue' - lets not forget before you sit on the bike you have to walk up to it first! PS. With such an awesome pipe with an equally awesome name why don't you have it laser etched or a plate rivitted onto the muffler portion? That alone would help it score higher in looks department and probably guarentee you twice the sales. |

Avoid the Remus. I've posted on another thread about this. There's also a thread on UKBEG about their poor quality. The factory are uninterested (can only speak about my case) in putting things right) Seems like they've employed Stevie Wonder as their main welder. My Remus will be coming off my 1125 in the near future and a Tubbs pipe will be fitted. |

T_man, when you see the TH you won't be disappointed. I have one in stainless. The first day at the track I didn't get the belly pan mounted. I got a lot of compliments. My neighbor owns a 1098 with Termingnoni (or whatever they're called) exhaust. When they first heard my bike they were impressed. When I got on the track that first time I was easily equaling my best track speeds in much less distance (I had not ridden in almost 6 months and was being conservative on my breaking). Now I like the pipe so much I feel bad about putting the belly pan on. |

Duggram - I'd LOVE to get myself a TH but I simply can't afford it. I couldn't afford a normal 1125R either! I had to buy mine salvage and fix 'er up. I now hope to dump a little cash into gettin' er fueled correctly with a cheap(ish) exhaust. Easyrider- don't get me wrong, I'm a function over form type of dude, I just thought a simple little cosmetic mod might make your pipe a tad more attractive to a wider range of potential buyers. Real Buell inovators like yourself deserve to profit as much as possible from all the time/effort you've put into developing that system. Taker easy fellas! |
