I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find any of the threads. Does anyone have a good way of keeping the mirrors from folding back at speed? Before anyone suggests it, I don't want to replace them with bar ends or anything else.

I pull mine in completely and then adjust the mirrors in their sockets. This works for me, but YMMV...

They aren't supposed to move while riding, should be replace under warranty.

As far as a self fix goes, I few drops of loctite should do the job.

One guy put some kind of adhesive in the joint.
I pulled mine and "peened" the rivet, the stalk stayed put well, but the mirrors were still useless.

Loretta has long-stem Firebolt mirrors now.

They work great.

Loctite is a great, easy idea... I'm gonna try that to eliminate all the play in the stalks, thanks!

Try a "wicking" grade of Loctite. It will penetrate into those nooks and crannies that are allowing the movement.
