It's not funny, and I'm thinking American History X... Ed Norton's character before he was ass-f*cked. |

Loki, if your axle has been over torqued there's a strong likelyhood the alloy spacer has been crushed. This will lead to the demise of you wheel bearings in the near future. It's often impossible to tell how the bearings are doing by the conventional play at the rim, you'll have to remove the wheel and check for roughness. Fortunately spacers are cheap and should be measured each time bearings are renewed. |

Adoogie, that was a cheap shot at people who have their own topic area on this site. I've had my share of problems with my 1125 but experience of people at the factory has taught me that they do want you to have a sorted bike. I know only too well how frustrating it can be dealing with CS or dealers who don't know as much as an informed enthusiast but there are people here who will bend over backwards to help you and have the ability to cut through the crap. Would you be willing to help someone who spoke about you like that? |

Worse yet, you develop a cheerleading squad committed to cheering on your misery and demise. Search out posts from Skyguy. You'll see what I mean. |

Oh wait... is this the dude? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/board-profile.cgi?action=view_profile&profile=skyguy-users Must be a reason why he hasn't posted here in a couple of years... Yep. THAT Skyguy. Offered to drop his Buell over the side of his balloon into the parking lot of the dealership. |

Ah yes, and I love this line from Buellfighter: "Tie a rope from your bike to your foot and I'll chip in." |

Hey guys, I'd love to give ya'll an update... Wish I had an update myself, but nothing from the dealer yet ... I called yesterday and my service rep was so busy he hadn't been able to talk to his manager about the belt being covered by warranty... Although I was accused of abusing the bike through excessive wheelieng based on the evidence found on the fork sliders and the depth of compression. I brake hard up front all the time, weigh about a buck ninety and the fork compresses deeply. My contention is this... Even if I rode the thing like Evil Benevil all day every day, that effin belt should not have locked my rear end up and sheered it's teeth to dangling shreds. Any advice? Anybody? The front end gets light, but I'm not out intentionally pulling the front end up... |

Anyone know if there is a difference between an 08R belt and an 09R belt? Maybe something stronger to help prevent these failures? Thanks, Ben |

Ya as soon as I walked in the door at my dealer they accused me also of bad habits. Na sounds like they are throwing a bone at you already . A good dealer is like flies on sh- t and get it fixed right away. Good luck!! |

The 1125r belts s/b the same. cr may be different because of gearing but they may have made up that difference other ways. Just don't let them trip your fuse. How many other actions would have the forks compressing all the way (many)? The only facts they have is a belt that is missing teeth or broken. Don't let them suck you into anything else but the facts that pertain to the belt. |

You are not the only one this happened to. However, it is probably due to incorrect axl torque |

Hi guys, finally heard back from the dealer! Covered under warranty! Just that the belt won't be in until next week sometime grrrr! Anyway, when I had my rear tire replaced that was a point of interest to this dealer and was the 1st thing they checked. My guys at KTM torqued it exactly as the manual states according to the HD Buell dealer I'm workin with now. Odd... Anywho, thanks for all the feedback and help. Much appreciated! Hope to see some 1125R guys out on the road sometime, would be cool to meet another owner face to face, maybe even ride together. Best, Boomer |
