Why do you continue grouping people together and placing labels of negativity on them if they say anything less then perfection? If the perfect bike has been made.... it's news worthy. If you think it's the 1125R you will give yourself a stroke by jumping every tread telling people their problems are in their head . Please allow a free flow of information so Trolls, I mean knobs, I mean SHOPPERS can freely learn |

Buzzman Back to the origin of this thread. I had problems with my bike up to 4 grand. It was dead until 4g's and then it was "Hold the F on" when it finally caught up. My wife was scared to death on the back. Anyway, I took it in and the dealer hooked it up to DT. They said it immediately started to download five different "updates." Not sure what it did but boy does it run like a raped ape now. I couldn't be happier with the results. |

Thanks Maul, I'm leaving for the dealer in just a few. The wife was nice enough to offer me her Blast while mine is being serviced. Not!!! |

Just got back. Eastgate Harley Buell takes very good care of its customers. The computers said I had P0087- Fuel Rail/ Sys Press Low. I'm lost here as to what happened but the bike is running great again. No engine light no more problems. Could I have been low on fuel? When I shook the bike from side to side to check I could hear some slushing around. The temp was about 94 degrees outside. |

I think that was the same code I had pop up on my bike a couple of times. The last part that was changed that seemed to fix the problem was the fuel rail pressure sensor. Good luck. |

Slushing??? At 94 deg you better have sloshing. I guess that's your problem you have slush in your tank!!! What would it hurt to fill it to the brim with 95 octane? Then you wouldn't be worried about slushing or sloshing LOL. You probably have a sensor that is a little marginal or just wants to fu(k with you! Time2Ride Neil S. At 96 deg I could use some slush on the way home myself!! |

The bike isn't perfect, obviously. However when a person takes his bad experience on his bike and projects it to all 1125r's made, I will call BS. Believe it or not, problems here get amplified. If your bike is running fine, how often do you create a post highlighting it? } |

On yes 11000 miles and not a single electrical or mechanical problem. Other then IC condensation (fixed with 09 cluster no more issues) and Clutch weep (also fixed by Latus with no issues over the last 3000 miles now) Neither of these two issues caused any drive ability problems for me. As far as flashes I will not get any because I have changed mine too much to work with my D&D to bother with any new flashes. When I log on all I read about is how poorly our bikes run or are engineered. It's no wonder they are hard for dealers to sell. If I was new to Buell and found this site while researching the brand I would be buying a R1 right now. But coming from the XB brand I know better and find this bike to be a lot more enjoyable. |

Just hit a whoppin' 900 miles on mine and love it more every time I get in the saddle. Had the latest flash and it looks like my fuel economy is going to be around the 40+ mark when keepin' it out of the triple digit speed realm. I will probably sport tour it up to Mid-Ohio next month for the AMA stuff. See how they look on the racetrack in person. I worked for George Latus about 10+ years ago, it'll be fun to say hi and cheer on their race effort. |

How can you get 40+ mpg out of this bike? I have an 09, and before and after the 12Z flash I still show an average of 35 mpg. I'm definitely not riding it hard very often, and with gear I probably weigh about 190 lbs. |

Different gas blends and altitudes Ron. Best I can do here in Central Cal is about 38 average with a fair amount of highway riding mixed in. |

The ONLY way to get that kind of MPG is to ride it like a scooter. After pumping up the AFVs, I am in the very low 30s and that's fine with me. |

I get 40ish with a 50/50 blend of city riding and 60ish hwy speeds. I am breaking it in (400miles) so that'll have some effect but I do ride it like the bi**h it is from time to time. |

I just got home from a long superslab run. Stayed between 75 and 85 the whole way in 6th, and have an indicated 43 MPG on this tank of fuel. I was also getting the low 30s with increased AFV (locked), but I'm currently back to just running 05Z for a while to save on gas. |
