Just got my 09 1125R and it is incredible.

I've noticed that the scoop on the left side has an uneven gap where it meets the frame (by the riders leg). It's more than 1/2 an inch bigger at the bottom.

The right side has a nice even gap top to bottm.

I was worried that the bike had been dropped before I picked it up but I went back by the dealership and saw that all of the R's and CR's on the floor had a simular thing on the left side.

Any ideas? Is there any adjustment in the bracket?

I asked the same thing right after I purchased my CR. It is normal I guess, I spent way too much time trying to adjust it. I think it is that way intentionally to give more room for the wiring harness and coolant hose that run out of the bottom or just a side effect.

See the gap... It is even on the ones on Buell's site. So I would say it is normal... A bit disappointing for someone who likes things to be perfect and symmetrical, but normal.

That's just what happens when you try and stuff all that whoop @ss under the cowlings...it's trying to get out.

mine is the same way; bigger gap on the left than on the right; i dont think there's anything you can really do about it.

I NEVER noticed that. And now that you pointed it out, it's gonna bug me.

Nah... too busy looking at the road ahead to pay attention to what the bike looks like...
