I currently have a 09 CR and am considering purchasing an 08 R as a second bike, strictly for track use...but from what i'm reading, it seems that the 08 R's have quite a few "quark's"...So I guess what i'm asking is "did the early 08 production R's have more quarks than the later 08 production R's?"...Should i avoid an R that was produced early 08 and look for a later 08 R?...Also, are the 09 R's quark free? I've had no problems with my CR and want to add a an R to my garage... I'd appreciate any feedback... |

Short answer to every question... No. The early 08's had the heavier springs tho, so unless you are a bit hefty like me (260 in gear) get a later 08. And just have all the "updates" done. Weather you get an 08 or 09. |

A "quark" is a duck fart...I think. Doesn't matter which one you get. Get 'er done. |

A quark (pronounced /kwɔrk/ or /kwɑrk/) is an elementary particle and a fundamental constituent of matter. Quarks combine to form composite particles called hadrons, the best-known of which are protons and neutrons.[1] They are the only particles in the Standard Model to experience all four fundamental interactions, also known as fundamental forces. Due to a phenomenon known as color confinement, quarks are never found in isolation; they can only be found within hadrons.[2][3] For this reason, much of what is known about quarks has been drawn from observations of the hadrons themselves. |

Well I guess Buells do have quite a few quarks then! |

"Which is better, an early 08 1125R or late 08 1125R?" The late 08s are a lot cheaper...Doh. |
