Wow ... that looks good. Those headers are hot ... no pun intended. What did the bike dyno prior to the installation of the buell race exhaust? |

So there was a tuning effort in conjunction with the race pipe? |

I would say it's loud to be heard above the screaming 600cc race bikes. Maybe i am crazy but I think its the loudest exhaust in DSB. |

Wow, why did your bike make only 124hp stock? Mine made 138 to the rear wheel and that was with the clutch slipping because I tried a new oil (Repsol) and the clutch no likey...I think it wouldve put out probably 5 more than that even? BTW, that pipe is pretty nice looking, I dig it! |

That all depends on the dyno and air conditions. Back in April 08, my Nov 07 built 1125r made 139.9 hp on the Dynojet at Battlefield HD in Gettysburg, PA. |

Before buell came out with the new flashes for the ecm they did make more hp. My bike stock with the latest flash before the race pipe. Made 133hp on the first pull once at 160 degrees it made 124 hp no matter how hot it got. We believe since the bike is so lean stock they pulled timing out out of it in the new flash to prevent detonation. Which resulted 10 hp loss!!I believe superflow and dynojet give you get different hp numbers. My bike was dynoed on a superflow. My dyno operator said if my bike was on a dynojet id make 150hp |

I tend to agree that the new flashes have traded HP for driveability. With the EPA/CARB it seems like you can't have you cake and eat it too, unfortunately. I seem to remember lots of dyno pulls in the low 130s when the bike first came out, now most all are in the low 120s. |

Don't all the dyno numbers rely on a subjective correction factor? I've heard about two dynos in Phoenix that make a 10 hp difference on the same bike. |

I believe the second flash was the fastest and it also gave a rodeo effect at lower rpms .It had lower rpm issues but had lots of top end. The 4 flash I currently have and I think its slower.getting 5th this week. |

Really nice! With the dents and dings I have on my stock exhaust, I would put a belly pan on to protect that gorgeous thing... |

I dont see why 138hp is unbelievable? I can try to dig up the dyno slip if you really dont believe me. The bike is rated at 150, so making 138 doesnt seem too far off. The guy running the dyno told me if I fixed my oil I should be making about another 4-5. I fixed my oil situation but havent got it re-run. The only reason I ran it was becasue it was a Buell event where Erik was speaking and they had demos and stuff, and they had a dyno shoot out....my friends talked me into throwin my bike in there, and I won LOL. Got a free Icon jacket. Granted, the dyno shoot out was only Buells, so I was running against a bunch of Bolts, a couple Lightnings and one other 1125. |
