HPE have now released two versions of their 1125 exhaust. There is a road version (complete with Cat and Euro approval) available now, with a race version (no cat) coming very soon. Both show good power increases but the race can is obviously the best of the two and shows a cool 16bhp increase over stock with no dips or surges anywhere along the curve
Also coming very soon are these replacement side pods for the 1125R and CR models. Developed by Free Spirits this is a complete and comprehensive kit to get rid of the bulbous originals. The screen adn seat units will also be available

I dont get whats so different from these exhausts and every other exhaust made for sportbikes??? You can get a high quality exhaust for any jap bike out there for 600 bucks. The 1125 exhausts are basically the same thing, a can with a little mid pipe, and they want double the price.....This is a nice looking pipe, but for 1300 bucks ill have to pass. |

It's all related to sales volume. With ten times as many Japanese sport bikes on the road, you can afford to charge less for your accessories and still make a profit on your investment. With the tiny market Buell encompasses, you have to charge more, or lose money on your investment. Nobody does anything for free. |

With ten times as many Japanese sport bikes on the road... Surely you jest. Suzuki alone builds 10 times the number of Buell's total production in a year with only the GSX-R1000 model. You can buy $600 cans for the 1125, anyways. HMF, Jardine, etc. |

I'm with Buellsrule on this pipe. It looks like it would drag, and looks like cobbled up a--. Check out the drummer, it has great numbers, looks factory and it can't drag. On a test bike with 6k on it, the drummer produced an additional 16hp and 10 lbs of torque with no other changes to the bike. It sounds like a huey cobra helicopter at idle, and the fit and finish are immaculate for a little less money. kdfab.com |

Drummer will add 10HP tops, probably 7-9 in reality. There haven't been an over-abundance of unbiased tests of the Drummer, that's for certain. |

Fresno's #'s are right on. Good numbers for a slip on with no tuning. Probably as good as the stock ecm will get. R |

I agree that the power increase is really good for a slip on exhaust. All of my Big 4 riding buddies are really impressed with that increase. |

Wish I could try a Drummer. But I can't afford it. I do have a Torque Hammer and I know it works. ~18 more horse power.

Exhaust looks awesome. I like the "pods", but think it would look like a lobster claw in red. |

I'm with Buellsrule on this pipe. It looks like it would drag This pipe has been used by Julius Ilmberger and the Buell Bonn team in short circuit and Endurance racing. It doesn't drag or scrape I can assure you (not unless you have already tipped off the bike and worn the footpeg away anyway!). It is of course entirely possible to buy a cheap exhaust for both Buells and Jap bikes, but have you priced up a top quality exhaust for any of the twin cylinder sports bikes recently? Check out the cost of an Akrapovic or Termignoni pipe for a 1198 Ducati or Aprilia RSV1000. Maybe try and buy a KTM/Akrapovic pipe for an RC8? The HPE exhausts are always at the expensive end of the spectrum, simply because they are head and shoulders above most aftermarket pipes in terms of quality and they work (HPE are part of Tubistyle, who make OEM exhausts for Ferrari etc).
