Dealership called today said bike was ready for pick up. Steering head bearings replaced under warranty and latest flash done. I reported that I had a tach needle flutter at 3500 RPM. Buell reports that that's normal and they all do it. I have an '08. Please check your bikes and let me know if any of you have a pronounced needle "shake" or "flutter" at 3-4K. Thanks, Frank. |

I helped solve this issue myself. Its shaking because the Instrument Cluster is vibrating. Take your windscreen off and jamb a piece of rubber between the IC and the mounting bracket. I used a chunk out of my free HD key chain from the dealer. It fit perfectly and the vibration of the tach needle is way less. |

So, there is a good use for those HD key fobs they give you when you buy a Buell... Awesome!! Mike |

Hmm, I guess I'm just missing something since mine doesn't flutter. Darn, I guess I'm not doing something right. Frank come over and see if you can get mine to flutter ;+} Later |
