> I think im hating the idea that my r is belt drivin. Why? Do you need to change the gearing frequently? Are you racing? Are you riding tracks mostly? Unless you answered 3 times YES, don't sweat it. |

Too bad the SEARCH function is broken here... there's TONS of discussions on chain conversions... for competition, for normal riding - arguments for and against. Too much to discuss in a new thread... BLAKE??? FIX the "SEARCH" FUNCTION!!! |

Wow and to think how I enjoy my biweekly chain cleaning and lubing. Especially all the crap on my rear wheel and swing arm. |

Believe chain swingarm unit available from BUELL is same length. Granted an inch or so given for chain/sprocket is there, but should not be much factor in equation. Length gives more straight line stability. Acceleration is still same...agree with Jdugger; if not Racing, not necessary. For your Drag strip runs, extensions to BUELL chain drive swingarm along with gearing will give better results. I also feel an adjustable triple clamp up front could allow for more stability. My personal experience is limited to Landspeed runs at Maxton & Bonneville. We extended swingarm and modified shock to obtain good layout. I believe altering front geometry could also be beneficial. Note- we utilize the XBRR. Also, Landspeed Racing, although similar, is NOT Drag Racing. Good Luck |

You'd be better off converting to the CR swingarm and sprocket. |

The 1125 CR has a longer swingarm and shorter gearing. It may be just what you're looking for. At $400, it's a much better deal than the nearly 2k chain conversion. |

I think with a decent discount if costs btw $600-700. I don't find that too out of line and the installation doesn't seem over the top. I am more concerend about the speed and gear indiator ramifications. (Message edited by fresnobuell on May 05, 2009) |
