we'll I had not planned on changing the stock exhaust, until today one of my customers with an 1125cr came to customer apperciation day today. He had his drummer exhaust on the bike fit finish and sound is GREAT. I called and left Kevin a message to see when I can get one. |

just installed mine tonight. nice lookin easy install. wear ear plugs. i was curious one what this rotax would sound like, maybe some what different then a normal vtwin but nope pretty much typical. nice pipe. oh the the bike is much faster too. it was in the dark on my ride home at 9pm so maybe it jsut seemed faster but seat of the pants and the feet from front tire to ground on hard throttle pulls was increases power |

Are you really gonna need ear plugs to ride with this pipe? I wanted something maybe a little loader and something that would really showcase the v-twin sound, but I don't want to have to wear earplugs every time I go for a ride. Is it unbearably obnoxious. For comparison sake, would you say it is louder or quieter then the Jardine? The Jardine was loud at idle, but once you got going it wasn't to bad. Especially with my RF-1000 on. I'm sort of in line for the Drummer, but I don't want to drop 1k if its gonna annoy me. Opinions? ST |

I got (documented on an Aprilia Racing shops eddy current dyno) corrected- 144 RWHP and 80+ Ft Lbs torque with the 1125 Drummer. Wear ear plugs Or stay stock---ssshhhhh! Every pipe on the 1125 is Loud Bro Pick one that make power and wear earplugs or stay stock and - 15/20 HP Shhhhhhhhh!

So DS, you are stating that the Drummer alone makes 4-5 hp MORE than Danny Eslick's racebike with Buell race exhaust, race ECM & a good team tweaking behind the scenes? Let's get real. The Drummer realistically adds 8-10 hp from what I have seen here. That's great for just a pipe, no doubt. |

I don't THINK Danny has visited AF1's dyno. He's more concerned about loosing 15 Lbs to meet the new racing regulations... Please see Weight Watchers Racing... AAAAAaaaahhhqahahahahahhahahaha!!!!! And tiger...not all pipes you need ear plugs for. I was able to ride the jardine without annoyance as I previously stated. Is it louder than that? Based on videos, the TM also looks to be a quiet pipe. But you know...some people don't like pissing off everyone else around them, or attracting cops' attention. Based on demo videos the drummer sounds great, but is it gonna tick me off on the long haul? ST |

Steel, you and I are on the same page about respecting others when it comes to noise levels.....on another level as far as legislative backlash, it's wise for us to stay under the radar. I don't know if the Drummer qualifies on either account. It's certainly borderline at the very least (Message edited by fresnobuell on April 15, 2009) |

Warning: Drunk Posting Alert! I've done that more than I would like to admit..Haha. All I am trying to do is bring the Drummer expectation of increased Hp in the realm of possibility....15/20 HP is not in the realm of possibility for any exhaust by itself. |

Steeltech I had a CF Jardine It was the same loudness - but more "tinny" and annoying sounding (to me) If you rode that bike with a Jardine S/O without earplugs- You are a HE-MAN. |

In terms of the bikes HP- all I have done is a pipe. I have no idea what the bike was making before because I did not dyno it before. Did I get a "ringer" motor?- I don't know. But I can tell you AF1 and their facility is world class- they have dyno'd and tuned bikes for AMA Superbike teams and have no love for Buell. 144. Thats the number. I'm a lucky guy. |

DS- If memory serves me correct, your dyno readings were 120hp or so, and you used the shops guestimated 14-17 percent low correction factor to get to 144? |

Well, riding the jardine without earplugs wasn't too bad relative to megaphone exhaust. The worst pipe I have ever ridden was a v-rod megaphone. That pipe made my ear drums vibrate so violently I could feel it independently of hearing the sound. I got off the bike and couldn't hear certain things. I was so pissed off at the owner of that bike for being such an annoying prick. That was horrible. I don't know who would need attention that badly. Idk. This is one thing that has me on the fence for buying pipes. |

Wind noise will do more damage than the exhaust ever will. You should ear ear plugs regardless of which exhaust you run if you want to preserve your hearing. |

Earplugs are mandatory in my helmet. I don't understand why some people risk hearing loss at all. But then I have seen people without hearing protection at Top Fuel drag races. Are you kidding me? |

What kind of helmets are you wearing that you need earplugs on a stock bike? |

Wind noise will do more damage than the exhaust ever will. Please reread. This certainly applies to the stocker, but I am not so sure the D&D-type exhaust aren't a significant source for noise damage. |

alot of people have said the drummer is quieter then the jardine. Part of the loudness is the inner air box off. but this exhaust is very powerful. i can do power wheelies in 2nd at 4krpms like it used to at 6. and get this its effortless no speed upand let off the throttle. just come on to it at a relatively easy throttle opening and it comes up. I mean it was just to damn easy, and smooth. i love this pipe. its shocking. and i only have 60-100 miles on it. wait till it gets learned. tm's pipe no doubtly has great power, it was just a little too quiet for me. but i was a little worried about the drummer power on the other hand. but let me tell u, its not lackin any. its just plain surprising. |

one of the biggest factors for me was the under engine design. i really dont like the look of the can next to the swingarm and beside it. if some one can get my phone video and sound up to the computer then ill text yah with the stuff. so if u want to just shoot me a pm. |

When the drummer for my XB arrived, i was thrilled about it. What a great sound, and great torque overall too! and the alarms of the parked cars sounding everywhere! that was cool. But that's not cool for long rides, where the only thing i want is to go away from the pain of the city. And headache after 100 km is just, let me say, stupid. Now i'm enjoyng my stock exhaust. I don't need more power and torque. And in italy there's no way to go fast, speedy tickets everywhere! and, Über Alles, i'm a pole! well, in italy when someone is particularly slow at riding, he's called P O L E! LOL |

Hogs and Fresnobuell, I'll post some pics tonight and have a video this weekend. The HMF exhaust mentioned above on youtube does no justice to this exhaust. -Thanks |
