Hey, i was riding my bike today and testing my water proof gear. . . so while starting to ride home, after the bike has been sitting in the rain for a couple hours or more, i turned the turn signal on and then it wouldn't shut off. I started to try to dry out the hand control but i wanted advise if this, you think, could be linked to the warranty issue that are known with these bikes, involving the blinkers. Thanks,  Nivek | ||

Let the bike dry out 1st. Signal not turning off isn't related to the LED signals burning out, IMO. I've had this happen to me on a LOT of different bikes. Once the connectors dry out, the signals work as normal again. Just my $0.02 and YMMV. | ||

i had this happen on my 1125r twice so far, both after car wash rinsing instead of hand wash. it will stop on its own. i unplugged the signals last time but still hit the turn switch every time. when it finally started turning off with the switch i plugged the signals back up. i think that it is due to a relay under the seat and not the switch itself. tim | ||

I have experienced this when washing. Try not to let the box get squirted with pressure. So far, it has gone away when it dries out. R | ||

I tryed checking the relays, the only one I found if for the turn key. One thing I was woundering is there a circuit board or relay dirctly for the turn signals under the front failing or seat ??? Thanks, Nivek | ||

well, i tried the method that was easiest for me, i unplugged the blinkers and drove it today in hope that w/e was wet would dry out and become fixed. This worked! my only concern is knowing what the exactly problem area was so i can attempt to water proof it or something. My guess as to how the blinkers work is that there is a master relay for the key switch that the power for the blinkers runs through. The switch on the handlebar seems to be just a trigger, not the actual piece that the power goes through, thus triggering a relay or some sort. by seeing the issues of the circuit board in the rear turn signals, i assume that there are op amps that trigger the flashing and timing operation of the signals. i assume same for the front. so, my unknown lies in what is between the switch and the signals that the power goes through??? there has to be a relay or circuit chip, right? and of course, where is it? oh well, thanks for all the help guys! -Nivek | ||

i looked at the electrical diagram and did not see any flasher or relay. it appears to run through the inst cluster. i could of sworn that when i directed water into the engine to clean it that was when it started sticking on. tim |
