I just received my tail tidy kit and went to install. The LED lights up just fine but both left and right rear directionals do not work. I tried connecting and reconnecting and finally ended up attaching original tail end. Any suggestions?

Your signals work fine after reinstalling your stock tail piece? Weird...

You sure you were connecting the right wires together when you had the tidy tail installed?

I'm curious. First, which tail tidy did you buy? Next, how much of the original circuit does it replace? I was under the impression the turn signals plugged in as usual with the tidies I've seen. Is it possible there is a short somewhere? When you went back to the original tail, did everything go back to working?

No, the original tail no longer works. The aftermarket tail that was purchased is the most common evotech tail. Is it possible that there is a fuse of some sort i am not aware of?

I just installed the tidy tail from Evotech yesterday. Great fit and finish. No wire splicing, pretty straight forward. I'd guess that your signals just happened to die at the same time you did the tail swap.

To make a quick check u could turn on your signal switch and put a multimeter on the two wires and see if you get any voltage. It may switch from 12v to 0v pretty quick but at least you'll be able to see if you've got voltage getting to the signals.

Well, i suppose that anything is possible. I figure since i already have stock tail in place i will have the dealership take a look at it wile i'm still under warranty.

Brought bike to dealership today and found out that rear directionals had to be bad. Tried hooking up directional from another 1125r and my bike killed that LED! Definitely an electrical issue, but what?

There was a bad batch of signals a while back, they were dropping like flies. Get the signals replaced, if they die too, then take it to the next step.

I've read the posts on here for a while dealing with the turn sigs. I'll use the dealer replacement as a last resort. There's no way I'll go back to the dealer 3 or 4 times for these things.

I replaced the led's in mine with different ones. Reconstructed the circuit with new leds and a resistor. I'm presently in test phase for a while to check my work. I'll do plenty of riding this summer and fall so by the end of it the testing I'll know for sure.
