Will do. Weather is crappy here, but I'll try to get some good pics in the garage tonight. Dyno tomorrow! BTW, just after riding it to work today, gently, cause it was drizzling, and just running to the store and back, AFV's are the same a 105 F/R, and it seems to pull a LOT harder in low rpms and be smoother down low as well. Oh, yeah. It sounds completely awesome. A vicious little crack when you start it, then settles into a deep thumping idle with just a little flutter. BLip the throttle, and you see heads snap around. It's about one good pace this side of Obnoxious, which for me is just about perfect. Must have shifted the weight or something, cause the front wheel seems to be a little lighter too.... R |

Rob, what time are you planning on being at the dealership? If the weather doesn't suck too bad (not likely) I might just show up to hear the beast! (Message edited by cobra on March 12, 2009) |

Noonish to 1-ish. Holler at me tomorrow. 361-549-1890 So we've been in a Friggin drought for the last 3 or 4 months, and a 3 day long drizzle pattern rolls through now, of all times. For those of you that don't believe in Murphy's Law... But I will have something for you guys tomorrow. The only thing that will hang it up is if Harley won't dyno it with a damp tire. I'll be good to go. RRRRRrrrAaAAAA! R |

Looks like noon it the time! I'll post the #'s when I get back to work. Assuming that I can sort out the technical details, the video will be up here tonight. It's a little colder, and a little more humid today than the first run, but not too much. It is what it is! R |

O.K. Boys and Girls... Best to Best, before and after. Before 119.99 HP/65.34 TQ After 128.84 HP/71.92 TQ Just under 9 hp. Printouts to follow. Air Fuel was a little bit lean, but I've got like 30-40 miles since the install. AFV's are still at 105/105. The HP/TQ "curves" look exactly the same, just more. As the ECM learns, and adds a little fuel, it should get better! It is, truly, ready. Rob |

Carbobigfoot, YEah 09 no flashes but does that mean its allready down on power from the stock 08`s with no flashes ? |

Don't know. Can you bring over a stock 08 today that we can run on the same dyno at the same time? ? Delta HP. Change in HP. Before and after with the same conditions. Only changing one variable at a time. Isolation of a single variable with respect to power output. How many other ways can I say it? R |

Granted that dynos differ a bit, when is the last time we have seen a stock dyno run in the 120's? That's all I am saying. |

Granted that dynos differ a bit, when is the last time we have seen a stock dyno run in the 120's? That's all I am saying. we ran 2 here on the same day. mine and another one. got 121 and 122 if i remember correctly. but that was last summer. i do remember his had one more horse then mine and mine had one more pound ft of torque then his |

Little sensitive, Kevin? Just making the point that the STOCK 1125r with the 3rd reflash (or 2009s as well I suppose) seem to have lost some juice. Has nothing whatsoever to do with the Drummer. I guess we should be thankful that someone is doing the dyno pulls. |

9 hp isn't bad and a little more realistic compared to what we had originally seen. Just imagine how much power you could get when you combine the Drummer and XB9's software!!! Not to mention a better running motorcycle that sounds bad ass. |

The 3rd flash killed the power. I keep ‘hearing’ this, but I missed the proof. Anyone have the dyno runs of the same bike/same dyno/same dyno operator with the only difference being the ECM software version? If not, then is this really an urban legend or a SOTP dyno assessment? YEah 09 no flashes but does that mean its allready down on power from the stock 08`s with no flashes ? Anyone have dyno runs of an ’08 and an ’09 on same dyno/same dyno operator for comparison purposes? Or are we drawing conclusions from out of the interweb thingy? Granted that dynos differ a bit, when is the last time we have seen a stock dyno run in the 120's? That's all I am saying. Why the intense focus on different bikes on different dyno’s? I don’t get it. I’d say almost 9 HP and almost 7 ft./lbs. from a slip-on ain’t too shabby. Good job Kevin & Rob. Now get busy on that chart posting so we can look at the curves between Stock vs. Drummer. |

I have been watching this closely since the drummer looks great and i wanted to see how it performed. I dynoed my '08 @ 129 hp on a warm night. All I had done at the time was the airbox cover removed. Oh, and slightly drilled stock exhaust.... We aren't talking major mods here though. Just helping the stock(ish) over 120hp. If those two "mods" are worth 10 hp then everyone should do it. -Nick |

I'm not the sensitive one, I don't have a problem knowing how different dyno's read..don't care about the # in a room, I care when you give it the gas your ass will take a chunk out of the seat pad, when its installed it doesn't look like a dinosaur turd stuck to the bottom of the engine, thats what matters..... My method is far from scientific....just recollections from early one where dyno pulls were generally high 120s to low 130s versus dyno pulls today that have been generally in the very high teens. When do we call BS on the 146HP rating at the crank? 18% parasitic loss at 120 RWHP? |
