Hey everyone, about 6 months ago, the clutch slave cylinder gave out and was repaired. Now, it's happening again. That is, the s/c is leaking again. Has this happened to you? That is, did you get your's fixed and the repair didn't hold up? What did you do, take it back for the same repair (slave cylinder replacement)? Is there some magic phrase I can utter at the dealership to get them to replace mine with a Rev B(C) clutch cover? Or, is there a more permanent repair available? |

There is a newer style o-ring out that they installed on my rev A cover. You do just have to suck it up and take it back to the dealer. Neil S. |

Call Buell Customer Service 414-343-8400. That's what I did. Keep us informed as there is rumored to be a updated slave unit it the works to resolve this issue. |

+1 on what Spectrum said about calling Buell customer support. I have seen on the board in an earlier post that a fix is on the way for the design. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/438664.html?1235601098 I have had mine replaced several times. It is not leaking right now, but I am waiting for it to happen since I have had it happen again and again in the past. I hope it does not. Mike |

I checked a few days ago and it sounds like it will be a while before the new parts are released. |

I had the first 1125 in the uk and it went back to the dealer 3 times to have new seals installed. Eventually, a '09 Rev B cover was fitted as a cure. This too is now weeping. Any idea when the cure for this flaw will be available because I'm not keen on having to pay for this outside Warranty? I'll be writing a review of the 1125 in the next edition of 'America Thunder' - down loadable from ukbeg.com and I'd like to mention if there's light at the end of the tunnel? |

I had trouble with my rev a cover and it was replaced by shop A with the rev b cover some time around August. Just 3 or 4 weeks ago I had an oil leak and after that was fixed by shop B I only had the bike back for about 24 hours and all the clutch fluid gradually leaked out of the cover. Had it fixed by shop B (replaced actuator & gasket) and the tech noted that there were tool marks all over the old one. Shop A does NOT have a Buell-trained tech, shop B does. Shop B told me when they were trying to find the part that it was in process of being redesigned... A day or two later they told me that the newly revised part was on a truck headed to them. I've had the bike back since Tuesday and seems great so far. Just put my second set of Metzeler Z6 tires on yesterday and scrubbed 'em in. Very agreeable rubber for my bike and riding style and commuting as I do. |
