Okay so I am finishing up the Noid removal and I notice a date written in silver sharpy in side the front lip of the snorkel. It's 6-20-08, which obviously corresponds with my build date of June 08. Has anybody else who has pulled the snorkel out seen a date on theirs? It seems that I can now celebrate the actual birthday for her...I mean if anybody would ever do such a foolish thing    | ||

Mine was Dec 08 not sure of the actual day...i guess i have to celebrate all month  | ||

You sure that its not just the snorkels birthday? It could of sat in a crate for a week. | ||

Aw Froggy...why are you harshing my buzz.  But for the sake of conversation, I thought of that. I would think the "birth" date on any part would be a code, not a hand written date. And would be more of a month/year not a specific date. Assuming it's an actual build date...I wonder how long it takes from the time the snorkel goes on to completion/roll-off(yep I just made that term up). The video on the buell website makes it out to be about, oh, 30 seconds but I'm thinking it's a bit longer. | ||

Loretta is # 154 off the line. Once, while I was talking to BMC-CS, I asked about the build date. Found out Loretta's B'day is Nov 7, 2007 - beginning of the second week of production. Z | ||

That reminds me....... It's my bikes birthday too then !!! Trying to remember , but I think mine was #114 ??? somewhere around there !!! | ||

Thurston mine is #105, I'm pretty sure ours were built the first week of product (last week in October). | ||

Hmmmm...I don't know build date, so I'll consider that conception. Birth date for me will be when she was brought home (April 4th). | ||

Spectrum, I do believe you are correct , I think Zac , Myself and You were all in the first to second week of production . ( or as near as we can figure )  |
