I was surprised to learn, upon skimming through my newly-arrived 09 parts book, that the 1125 is supplied with a secondary rear fender, p/n M0549.1AM that is Australia-only. Leave it to the Aussies to decide they know better than other countries how a motor vehicle s/b equipped.

I think each country has regulations concerning the amount or rear wheel that can be throwing crap at you. A BMW dealer ex[lined it to me. I guess the hole in the middle made it "not a mud flap?" If you think about it the Firebolt tail on the longer frame does nor cover as much. I would guess thats where the extended frame mount started life anyways. Or to compensate as a design point against the huge front fairing on the first released R model. |

Or to compensate as a design point against the huge front fairing on the first released R model. Yeah okay, we get it already. You don't like the R. You have made that abundantly clear. You sure this isn't Brad1445 in disguise? Comments are amazingly similar. |

>>>is it some gov't requirement? Yes. The Queensland folks have also been in a tug of war over front license plates. |

What do you think only one person in the world think the styling on the R is 'interesting'? So I have a return your question, are you some sort of stalker? Some sort of your either with us or against us element type attitude when in fact life has many looks differently from different angles to each person. You will see what I'm talking about when revision B hits the street. |

we have been getting lots of work orders for not having the "mudflap" in perth front plates, they been pushing for it here aswell. the question i ask is where do you put a front non metal plate on a naked bike, and still look good |
