Battery does not get a chance to recharge from the usage of the starter. 1125's charging system works over 3K, so a more extended ride over 3K will charge the battery. Does your bike have all of the reflashes and recall work done? |

There have been plenty of threads with similar problems. Q: Do you keep it on a trickle charger when you are working off shore? There have been some where a defective instrument cluster was causing a current draw. Q: Do you notice after going through diagnostic mode on the cluster? Do you use the security pin code feature? Q: have you called Buell customer service and started a case? (Message edited by krassh on January 11, 2009) |

yes my bike got the recall work done one the first service. the thing is that when i jumped it off i rode to the dealer 40 mins from my house at a pretty good speed. There at the dealer it did it once again. The dealer called me a week later with no answers but they were sorry about the problems.... |

There was a post somewhere on here about a bulletin in regards to I believe testing some things that might be causing a current draw. Your dealer should have access to this. Call Buell Customer service. |

well i dont use the pin code. last time i was offshore i disconnected the battery and when i connected it after two weeks it started fine. i would like to know more about the defective instrument cluster so i can ask about it. |

Ok reason I asked in some reported after using the security or using the clusters diag mode caused their batteries to drain. Once you get this issue resolved I would invest in a trickle charger so while you are off shore your bike charges. Now without knowing the full story like how many times you rode it the last time you were back on dry land it is possible that you disconnecting the battery for that length of time is some of the problem. A disconnected battery will still discharge. I would still call Buell customer service and get a case#. (Message edited by krassh on January 11, 2009) |

thanks. usually when im home i ride alot i havent had the bike but only a couple of months. i ride at least 200 miles before i store it for two weeks. I do need to call buell because the first 15 mins into leaving the dealer the main fuse blew. I found a 10amp fuse where a 30amp should be and the problems never ended since then but i will state once again I LOVE MY BIKE just not the issues |

Well take this with a grain of salt. The bike is suppose to ship with the 30 amp fuse in the tool pouch. Sounds like your dealership either misplaced the original fuse and threw in whatever they had laying around or? If you start losing confidence in this dealership do you have any options near by? At least by calling CS you will have this problem documented and they can start working with the dealer to help them diagnose the problem. |

Keep the faith it will get resolved. It might take some time. I realize this is an issue since you have a short period of time for riding when you return on shore and this can increase your stress level having to deal instead of enjoying your bike. |
