Here are a few more work in progress pictures. Also, If anyone has any exhaust experience or suggestions please feel free to chime in. My thinking is that by eliminating 1.5" of muffler, and cutting out the piping inside the end of the muffler it should eliminate some of the muffle. Also I used a 1"x1.5" square outlet as re-enforcement where I removed the stock outlets. I took the part I cut out, flattened it and welded it back in place as you may be able to see in the pictures. My intent is to make louder without really changing performance.
Rerouted the internal gas flow route along with a slight mod to the reflection point.
Pic obviously doesn't show the final flow route nor final size/exit style...but this has been done, just the same.
Side exit within the major chamber yielded a minor hp of 4 peak and 3 tq...BUT, still required tuning.
Prior test/tune over ride found an AFV of 108/106 with learning enabled but it took well over 175 miles to understand. 08 1125R w/8k+ on the clock/getting perfected.
DB's was only increased by a mere 5, tho deeper tone noted...and there are witnesses herein that heard it.
What kind of routing did you do internally, My plan so far is to just leave the exit as an opening without any tubing routed to it. You can see in the pictures I posted that I haven't hooked up any plumbing. In your opinion is this a bad move? I haven't sealed her up yet so I still have options on the inside. I am also thinking of doing an identical exit on the opposite side. Any feedback would be helpful!
