They are not giving it a fair shake. The stink from it's troubled rollout is stuck in their heads. I still think Buell should redesign the looks and rename the bikes in a re-release that is on stronger footing. As they said the engine is there! Lets give the rest a fresh start. I was hoping the 09 would be the next step but I guess we put our eyes on 2010 now? |

How about some cheese with that whine. 5'7" and its cramped? His butt is too big for the seat. Oh I get is, they tested the 3/4 size version. Some journalist............... |

The stuff they're complaining about has nothing to do with the engine. Buell's fixed all the problems so now they have to complain about seating position, steering and chassis design. The stuff that Buell will always do differently. For some of us, that's a *good* thing. But there have been plenty of positive reviews lately, too, let's not forget: MC News, Motorcyclist, rider, Bike (UK Mag), all loved the CR. |

I sat on this bike today at Harley and it felt awesome, But the radiators are hideous, I would love to test drive it. |

They are complete wankers, they were testing a naked bike and are stupid enough to complain about the lack of wind protection, go figure |

AAAaaaRFFffffgggaalaaa! That made me so mad, I registered with their stupid site just to leave those two dorks a nasty comment. Seems like a professional moto-journalist would be able to sort out the basic settings on a friggin motorcycle! And OOOooooo, it's got a lot of engine braking... DUH, It's a Big Friggin Twin! Idiots. Carbon, loved your comment! I left one on the Youtube version of this video, but yours is so much more thorough and cutting... |

I was REALLY pi$$ed when I was writing that, and had to go back and edit myself several times... Figured I'd just sound like some whack-job if I told em what I really think. I actually get that a lot... R |

My goodness... I cannot believe this! Really! I take this review as another potential positive step forward for our...better word, Buell's entire effort. Just happy to be an involved owner! These folks did make positives where there are positives still due, they voiced like in a positive manner. What if anything, am I missing regarding anything major in negativity? They are helping to improve a product?!!!! Good show! Thanks for the insight and post! Only more good can come of Buell. mm |

Sly your an eternal optimists and we appreciate you for it. I on the other hand have to say a skunk stinks when I smell it. My first and foremost impression was "drive by review"! I can't believe these so called professional journalist would do such a lame job evaluating a bike under such poor conditions. |

Gotta agree with Slypiranna, I just didn't think it was bad. Everybody is not going to love everything about the bike. I thought there were a lot of positives. I'm sure these guys ride a lot of bikes. You gotta think they are going to compare it to the best they have ridden and give their opinion. |

Spectrun, This is BAD "weather" bikers! I don't know about you but I've ridden in three hurricanes! While this bike is still not perfect...it's getting closer with every step to 09! And every review by the analists! mm |

Back when everyone was moaning about the drivability issues of the R I don't remember anyone going off about the bike being cramped that wasn't 6'2 or so but maybe I just don't pay attention. |

Name has nothing to do with the weather we ride in. The Bad Weather Bikers™ is a community of Buell™® American Motorcycle enthusiasts. BadWeatherBikers.com™®, or BadWeB™ for short, is our online refuge; some might call it our asylum. : ) Most of us don't really dig riding in the rain; our name echoes the attitude of the bad machines we ride: Thunderbolts, Lightnings, Cyclones, Blasts, Firebolts, and Ulysses, the big bad storied hero of legend who persevered through some of the baddest of bad weather ever. : ] |

Nope, you right! Now there down to the analistic topics. Surely that word isn't new(?), we are tho...down to just that! Anal. |

I'm sure these guys ride a lot of bikes. You gotta think they are going to compare it to the best they have ridden and give their opinion Exactly. These guys ride a lot of Japanese IL4 bikes. And they love them. Besides some minor differences in technologies, bikes from Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Honda have similar feel (steering, seating position, etc.), and are basically the same. My problem with these blokes (and the dudes who write for Sport Rider) is that they can't accept any other way... consider what they are saying, and you realize that there really is nothing wrong with Buells--- they can be ridden as fast as anything else. Rather than give concrete metrics of goodness like lap times (say around a slow Battletrax-type course, followed by a higher speed "time trial" on the race track), they barrage us with silly subjective comments. What about subjective points for being different? For technological innovation? For having some passion (actually, the Bike review did give points for this)? And, it's their review, and they can say whatever they want. But, as a reader, I can say whatever the heck I want, too. And I say they're biased. Also, I don't agree that any press for Buells is good press. But, fortunately, the majority of the reviews for the CR have been quite positive. Merry Christmas, T. Unbelievable.... They reviewed the bike for what they think it should be. not what it is. |

I really love how they repeatedly stress how "small" it is...I'm 5'-11" and can't flat-floot the thing. How did "Mr. 5'-7" even touch the ground? |

Don't getcher shorts in a knot folks....MCN is a notoriously unprofessional rag also known for making stuff up just to get attention. Recall, their screaming front-page headline back in the fall of the **New 2009** Honda V5 VFR, complete with alleged specs and pics. Repackaged internet blog rumors and photochopped pics lifted from an Italian supermarket tabloid. Shortly put, MCN is not credible journalism and in the result can offer nothing to 'improve the breed' as some are suggesting. |

"There is just no pleasing some people." The title of this thread is perfect. Every time a new thread comes out about somebody testing the 1125R or CR it makes for some great entertainment. Always a good laugh to read the comments. These guys could have come out and said "the bike is perfect, but the hand grips are not that comfortable" and they would be bashed for ragging on the grips. Before anyone gets defensive and tells me how great the grips are, it was just an example. And remember they are all out to get Buell and they only like Japanese IL4 bikes. |

Cramped at 5'7"?? They must have short, stubby legs.... |

These guys must have really big vaginas or something. It was "cramped" for both a 6 footer and a 5'7" guy? Couldn't ride it for a couple hours? This bike is roomy compared t my Firebolt, and I've done 11-12 hour days on the Firebolt. Probably 6 or 8 so far on the CR. No complaints from the ass or joints. But then again, I don't have a vagina. (Message edited by xl1200r on December 24, 2008) |
