Penske 8987 shocks fit most other Buells. Anybody know if they will fit the 1125R? And work properly? Thank you, Doug |

I'm not sure if that model will fit. It isn't listed on the Penske website. Mike at Frederick Buell/HD of MD. said he ordered a Penske for their 1125r race bikes. He would be a good guy to talk to. I think he manages the race team. he also supports racers with a race program. He is very knowledgeable. he gave me lots of good advice. |

They're not a sponsor but Traxxion has setup the Penske for Higbee's bike. You can shoot them an email and ask. They really know the 1125R system. http://www.traxxion.com But... I am assuming that you are looking at some Penske off of another bike? If so, you'll then have to possibly get it re-sprung if the original bike has different suspension geometry - spring rates vary a LOT between bikes even if the shocks interchange. For example: I put a GSXR shock on my SV650. The SV uses TWICE as stiff a spring as the GSXR. Had to re-spring the GSXR shock (and eventually ended up putting a Penske on it as well) You'd have to get an eye-to-eye measurement and then see if you can adjust it in or out if needed. Not sure if the fixed reservoir clears everything... |
