Sly, since I'm unable to correlate that number with any I find in the BMC online catalog, I won't try to figure out the following on my own: how about a number for the cover in Hero Blue with the guard (I figured out what I would use the guard for) and the vent? On one of the H-D supplier websites, I see 6 different part numbers for hero blue covers, but no pics or other info to tell one from the other:M1224.1AJAMBX, .1AJMBX, .2AJMBX, .3AJMBX, .4AKMBX, .5AEMBX, .5AJMBX (Message edited by redscuell on November 16, 2008) |

Krassh, if you'll have a look at your link (which I did with the same link before I posted) on the catalogue's pp 14, that neither (1) Sly's p/n, nor (2) any of the ones I've itemised, are listed. Perhaps there's another page in the catalogue that lists body work? This link:http://chicagoharley.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=m3224 lists only M32224 (note it begins with a '3') as having the X guard. I'm not trying to be pedantic about all this; but maybe I AM overthinking this! (Message edited by redscuell on November 16, 2008) |

Thanks Jmr, that's what I needed. And I've ordered it; the hero blue s/b ideal with my white 09. (Message edited by redscuell on November 16, 2008) |

The bottom right of page 14 had this chart with the same part numbers Jmr1283 listed. Not sure were Sly got his numbers.
