Went to the dealer yesterday morning to do the 3rd reflash. It "didn't take" as they put it. Ive read before where others have had this problem so I was wondering, did any of you get the reflash to take eventually? Dealer offered to install a new ECM and retry it. I really don't want them "easter egging" around to try and figure it out. I just thought I'd throw it out there for those a lot more educated on the ECM thing. Worthy of noting from info I've seen in other posts; my battery was fully charged and the bike was running fine before they tried. |

We had trouble getting the first re-flash to take. I think it finally took on the 3rd try. Recent mapping re-flash went fine, first time. YMMV Z |

i wish i had a dealer like that, do just about anything to make it right. mine just says no, cant, and a bunch of shrugs |

Mine did not take either, Tech called into BMC and had me come back a day later. Whatever they told him fixed the issue and everything runs great. They should be able to call and get suggestions before replacing the ECM. |

Tell them to make sure the tech-link is plugged into the charger or it won't download. And to read techtips more often, they'd already know this. (Message edited by SHARKYTATTOO on November 06, 2008) |
