The water jet cut hole for the tailpipe is an oval canted downward so the tailpipe will point out and down. I'm not sure why Buell chose to exhaust right onto the rear brake but I suspect it has to do with how the formal sound tests are conducted. |

It'll take a while to get it going...right now getting these proto's done will be the first ordeal and then after its working well, you know the drill....those pics are from my phone and not the real rearcap, just a mockup piece for jerseyguy, after the brackets are designed we'll get one mounted and take some better pics, the black one will be nice IMHO...can't wait to get the dyno work done.... |

Kds1, I love to do the dyno work for free. How do I get a prototype for testing. It's for European customers very interesting to see the performance this exhaust can make. Here is a dyno topic where I put all the results in: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/artikelen.asp?aid=53 |

Easyrider, thanks for volunteering but I think Paul will have plenty results when its done and the thing I'm going to do is manipulate the system while its running to yield the best performance....its best to use the same bike and dyno with same operator to get the best comparo....every exhaust I've ever built and sold was dyno tested on the same bike and so on, lots of runs need to be made with a Buell because of its AFV learning capability....but if we get shorthanded then we will be needing other testing....at least all the info will be available here on Badweb.... Kds post above reminds me: is there a 'waiting period' after I take delivery of my 09 1125 before I would put it on a dyno for its 'before' results, due to the 'learning' mode? |

Kevin....I'm sorry, but I can already see the start of a drunk dial line with your number......... "Oh, how badly I want to wrap my hand around your throttle and give it a whack....that deep rumble I feel when your pipes have made their way to my....." nevermind....I have no idea what I'm talking about. Can't wait for the setup to ring. |

come on, you can do better than that. see... and back to the topic, i am curious. do you like having someone keep you up to date on what is going on with the product you are waiting for? i do. i guess what im saying is the question has already been answered a few times but no one seems to acknowledge it. asking the same question a time or to COULD possably be funny, but asking the same question over and over everyday just gets annoying. it makes someone who has already answered that question a few times tired of answering it and wonder why they are wasting there time that could be used to keep building it when no one pays attention. but i suppose thats what you get for trying to help people sometimes! |
