If you bought bobbins you'd still need to buy a stand. I got the 1125 version of the pitbull. It lifts the rear while allowing the axle to be removed. Cost is $144. Also you don't have to drill holes in the swingarm. | ||

I will likely be going ahead with the Pitbull for the rear, since it seems to be the best available option for those not wanting to modify anything. What is everyone using to lift the front? | ||

Pit bull as well for me for the front. The new rear stand and the front work well on the Uly as well. (my 11's in the shop for the last two months, so no pictures)   Works well on the Ss. On the Blast I use th old Pit Bull rear stand that would slide up the swing arm on the other Buells during maintenance. The new one, that captures the back of the swing arm does not. It works a little better on the 1125R because the rear of the swing arm is flat vs rounded. | ||

I bought spools off of Dean(D_Adams). All I did was jack the bike up and remove the rear wheel(I had the front strapped down with the bike on my trailer). The instructions were very easy. You use a 3/8 drill bit and the holes are already marked on the swingarm. You will have to put a few washers under your rear stand to give the rear wheel some more height and widen your stand with a jack. Other than that it was very simple. I am glad I did it because I already had a rear stand. It saved me $100 and that is with the purchase of the spools. | ||

No that's the "House Monster's" youngest larva's squid boy friend's bike. They are moving to a new place and I'm supposed be be alright with that thing in my garage. Is this the right attitude?  This is all that's usually in the garage.  (Message edited by bearly on November 06, 2008) | ||

By this way, here is a picture with the old stand as I was working on the Uly. See how it slides forward when you are working on the bike. See how low the tire gets to the ground, (right of picture) it's a pain to change the tire like that. Every time you touch the bike it slides forward until the right side stops against the lower belt guard. Then if you rock the bike, the stand starts to kock to the left. It works if it's all you have, you don't mind scuff marks on your swing arm and you can work fast.  (Message edited by bearly on November 06, 2008) | ||

Standard Pitbull stand, spread apart about 1-2" with some really kick-butt spools.   |
