Early conclusion - the Factory's turning out roughly 10 per day. June looks like a busy month, 16-20 per day. Z |

October only had a few days as they started production the last week of October and ramp up was slow as the were still working out their final assembly process. Strike October numbers and make some assumptions about the gaps and they are averaging closer to 20 per day. My math 4050 units built in roughly 9 months. Excluding October, 39 weeks of production at 5 days per week is 195 days. Holidays and October would kind of cancel each other out so 195 days is pretty accurate. Divide the number of units by they number of production days and you get an average of 20 per day. |

Neil I have no idea. I've had some training in "Lean Manufacturing" so I have familiarity with what your asking, just don't have enough information to calculate any of the meaningful Lean metrics. As a IT guy in the Banking and Oil and gas industries for 30 years I think I deserve a pat on the back for having any kind of clue about this stuff! Ken you and I are the only other BadWeb'ers reporting October build dates. It is kind of cool knowing we had two of the first to roll off the line. But that and $4 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks! |

I found #1138 in Lafeyette,Indiana. Thought that the other one was #668 ,but not 100% sure on the 2nd one. It was at Eagle Harley Davidson tucked back in a corner right when you first come in. |

Eric, got your PM. That is weird. In tracking VIN's on almost 300 bikes, that's the first out of sequence number we have seen. |

#3656 here, so a fresh July-08 though it's odd: the tech at the dealer who went through suspension setup with me said that mine had been on the floor a while. Maybe he was confusing it with one of the others--they all look alike, you know? |
