You have no idea how heartening it has been for me, who's put down a deposit on an 09 without even riding the 08, to hear that the driveability and mpg and heat issues are so much improved with the 'reflash'. You have really done me a service, and I thank you for that. Speaking of the 09, given that another poster has indicated that those bits on the rear swingarm are indeed spools for a rear stand, does anyone know yet which, if any, stand will suit the 09 1125r? I ask because my local dealer doesn't know, and so likely I'll have to order mine from USA (I'm in Australia); and the sooner the better because my bike is due to be built by the end of this month and arrive in Melbourne by the end of next month. Dont' want that baby falling off its side stand, it'll be the first new bike I've ever purchased (my other three were from the early 80s). Cheers. | ||

I feel more confident with my bikes on the side stands than on the rear stands. Only because I always think, in the back of my mind, what if it falls over when going on/off the stand? | ||

Try Harris in the UK....they have a new line of Bull stuff from what I hear. Or call Pit-Bull in the US as I am sure they can lead you to the right unit. | ||

Welcome to the world of Buell! You are going to have fun. Bet you can’t wait! Looks like you’ll be getting yours just in time for your riding season. It’s a great bike! I’ve had my 1125r since March. My 1125R is my 7th Buell since 1996. Keep us informed when your get it and how you like it. |
