...but can't seem to get a bike for fitment. They are located in Camarillo, CA and would need your bike for approximately 3 days. You would get a free windsscreen out of it AND make lots of fellow 1125r owners REALLY happy. They expressed a great desire to get a windscreen made for the 1125r and apparently have approached several area dealers...with no avail. Any So Cal owners interested in doing this? Please PM me for the ZG contact email address... |

Just called ZG. Was told they are still trying to get their hands on a bike for development. Also said he would really like to get this done as he has had alot of calls. I mentioned the ebay add also. He said it must be a mistake because its not coming from them. |

I have contacted ZG and let them know my bike is available for their R&D to create a double bubble. Sometime real soon I will be taking it down there so we can get what we want. |

Hwyranger, they told me of wanting a test bike back a few weeks ago in an e-mail and I posted that very thing on a similar thread. Thanks for stepping up. Many of us are waiting patiently for a Zero Gravity windscreen. They ARE quality items. Bob |

Tom, Can you let us know when you figure out the your "appointment" time with the Zero Bubble R&D department? Just trying to see how far out we might be...got the Buell Kick Ash on order, but this might be worth waiting for. Thanks again. |

Will a front fairing do or do they need the whole bike? I have a spare fairing from my bike when it was stolen. I use it to make my fiberglass parts for my soon to be integrated Knight rider light. I am willing to take the fairing over to California when I go on the 18 of August to visit family and friends and vacation a bit. Can you guys let me know if the fairing will do. Thanks. Toby |

For those curious of a time frame...after the bike is seen by Zero Gravity we are looking at appx. a month before the screens are available to the consumer. |

If they do keep your bike for a couple weeks, you're not gonna go on a Buell withdrawal induced rampage out on the highway are you?? *gulp* This could be bad. Very, very bad.

If he goes through 2 wheel withdrawal he can always volunteer for OT and ride the BMW. But if it does put you in a bad mood not having your 1125R for a couple weeks just let us know your patrol route so we can stay away. (Message edited by krassh on August 08, 2008) |

Krassh, lately I have been up on the pass on the 15.....you're neck of the woods hehehe. I get my two wheel itch scratched LIGHTLY with the patrol bike everyday. I would go ballistic w/o my 1125 if I didn't ride for work... |

possibly two weeks and then a couple extra days if R&D needs to fine tune things...Small price to pay for what they put out. |

Hey Hwyranger, Thanx for offering up your bike for this cause. I really appreciate it! I had asked if someone would be willing to offer up their bike to K&N out in Riverside so they can produce a set of filters for our bike. "George" (from their tech. dept.) wrote me back and said he'd be happy to get a bike for R&D! He asked if I could spread the word. It sounds like he wants to make it happen..... I would be happy to offer up mine, but, I'm no where near there. Thanx again for your help on the Zero Gravity. I'd love to get a dark-smoked windscreen from them once they're ready! Take care, Tracy |

Well heck! My bike has been sitting in the service department of Ventura Harley/Buell ( in Camarillo) for the last three weeks waiting for the gear box recall part to show up. I don't know if they would be allowed access to it by the dealer even if I authorized it, but I'm sure not using the bike at the moment. |

I asked the ebay seller about what the ZG wind shield looks like and he can't show me. But of course he will take my order and deliver one in 3-4 weeks. WTF, pig-in-the-poke. Is it double bubble, sport, touring or what???? |

I finally got a reply as well from the ebay seller. I believe they are either making stuff up or being told by ZG the windscreens are a few weeks out as ZG knows that they should have a 1125r to fit soon. Here is the ebayer's reply to me "We are a dealer for Zero Gravity windscreens, not the public. We have the ability to special order windscreens from Zero Gravity directly, i.e. color and style. This particular windscreen is in their 2008 parts list. I spoke with my contact person at Zero Gravity just today and was told they will make the screen with a special order and will take approximately 2-3 weeks." |

This just in:... Hi Neil, There are no pictures in their “catalog”. In “catalog”, I mean their available windscreens. The windscreen is listed on our 2008 Dealer Parts list. If you would like to verify what I have told you, please contact Zero Gravity directly (1-805-388-8803). The windscreen is a special order, so they can make it in the color you choose from their available colors as shown on their website and all of our Zero Gravity eBay auctions. They will also make it in the style you choose, i.e. Sport Touring, SR or Double Bubble. Here is the link: http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/ Please accept my apologies for not being able to supply you with a picture. I have requested Zero Gravity to update their website ASAP. Thanks, Part Monster Inc. "Feed The Monster Inside You" Hmm what do you all think? Sport Touring and dark smoke?

Well, it took a week or so, but I also got a reply. "Yes, this screen is for the 1125R. I called Zero Gravity to check stock for them and they are out of stock. They will have to make the screen for a special order. I am going to end this auction. If you would like to order the screen, we can do that for you. It takes up to 3 weeks to get the screens made once ordered from Zero Gravity (4 weeks for delivery). If you would like to do that, please contact us sales@partmonster.com Thanks" To tell you the truth I don't think they are being very honest by saying that Zero Gravity needs to "Checked the stock and they are out" ...........Of course they're out of stock, they have not been designed yet!!! But the seller is more than willing to take my money and have me wait for weeks. |
