Author Message   Herontheshadows Posted on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 - 11:15 am:        Test rode an R last week....wicked bike, way more responsive handling (feels lighter) and more powerful than my CityX...i did notice the low rpm "rocks"...but hey..just keep her steaming a bit....but anyway...the Buell website said it has a gear indicator...however i didn't notice it. the jap bikes have indicators that indicate EACH gear....the Dealer test rider says the R only indicates when you're in 6th gear....is this true?   Zack3g Posted on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 - 11:20 am:        There are aftermarket indicators available, but i've never noticed one on my bike. A little green "6" lights up on the speedo when you're in 6th gear. I dont get what all the fuss about a gear indicator is, after getting used to the bike I will know what gear it is is based on speed and RPM. As for the insurance, mine is cheaper for the 1125R than it would be for any Jap SS bike of any size, 600 or 1K, by a great margin
