After about 500 miles I wanted to start making some changes to the suspension settings, but when I went to adjust the "compression" setting on the rear shock the 3mm ball-end allen (long shaft piece) just spins inside the adapter head. Took it back to dealer, they promptly pulled one from another tool kit and gave it to me. Got home, same thing happens, just spins inside the adapter. This happens when just holding the ball end with your fingers and turning the handle. When I get the bike back (in for recall) and the "tool" I'll just have the 3mm shaft "tacked" to the adapter. Is this a common problem with this "tool" or am I just lucky? (ps - thanks for letting me vent!) |

Nah, had the same problem here too. I pulled the allen part out, put it on an anvil / bench vise and whacked it with a hammer a couple times right on the end. Egged it just enough that I had to force it back into the drive piece, and so far it's been working like a champ. |

ive heard this problem also a number of times on this forum... i havent broken into my personal suspension adjustments yet and havent had a chance to play with the tools.. i think that a REAL tack weld will fix your problem.. also look into super glue, gorilla glue, or whacking with a hammer repeatedly if you dont have access to a welder. |
