Yesterday I took a 300 mile trip on my 1125. It was a great trip. Of my 300 mile trip about 250 where country roads, the other 50 was stop and go traffic on I-95/S out of Alexandria and that Sucked. The bike got up to 220 degrees, I was frying. Ended up pulling over at a McD's because my arse was killin me and my donuts felt deep fried. Next stop was for gas, met a couple of guys from Ontario who where riding down to Va Beach. "Long Haul". They loved my bike. So their I was just a talkin. Then all of a sudden a car full of girls hollers out the window at me a little flattering profanity, and they also stated that they liked the bike very much!?!. Made me forget all about my sore rear and warm crotch. So I had a good ride over all, the Canadian's liked it and most importantly the chicks dig it. The moral of this boring story is The Chicks dig it. THEY REALLY LIKED IT, A LOT!! Now why didn't things like that happen when I was single? |

I see you're in the Coast Guard. I'm not taking aim at you personally, but last weekend three of your boys boarded and docked are boat, called the police and gave the driver a ticket for operating while intoxicated. All of this because someone on are boat yelled "F the Coast Guard, join the Marine Corps". Don't be haters just because the Coast Guard in inferior to the USMC and you now it. What ever happened to branch on branch shittt talking. I was really pissed. The guy that was administering all of the tests and safety checks had no clue. Dude (18 yr old kid) had to read everything off of a clip board, and then ask for help when he didnt know something. Thanks for ruining the night CG, you just imbedded my perception of you even further. By the way the driver blew a .81 (.80 legal) and was completely capable of operating the boat. Advice-Get single, you'll have more fun. Now lets hear all the conservative feedback Im expecting to get from this. |

+1 what Jack said. As another old Marine I feel this does represent the Corp well. |

Well first things first. The Coast Guard is not the Marine Corps. For the most part we have completely different mission statement. I say for the most part because we have many mission's. I won't get into what they are if you are interested look it up. So no we are not as capable at ground pounding and whoppin arse, WE ARREST, different training. We are cappable of sending you to prison. What did ya'll think was going to happen yellin F-the Coast Guard. They did what any LEO would have done. Which we are Law Enforcement Officers, and much more. As for the 18 year old needing help, he was probably breaking in Boarding officer and was allowed to fumble through it as a learning experience, because it was a routine boarding. Just a routine boarding with a big mouth. You should give the kid credit for having the courage to do a job a lot of others aren't willing to do. My best friend, is a prior Marine and now a Gunners Mate PO1 in the Coast Guard. We've been friend's and brother's for 7 years now. Fortunate enough to get stationed together twice. I have heard the stories from him as to what he did and he knows without a doubt I do and ever other Coast Guardsman should respect the Marine Corps. Do some research as to what we have done, http://www.uscg.mil/hq/g-cp/history/FAQS/BattleStr eamers.html There's a start. I have to say for legal purpose's that I do not speak on behalf of the Coast Guard, just as you do not and can not speak for the Marine Corps.\ Thanks for the link Zac. A very nice and measured response, trw. Thank you for your service to our country, and for taking the time to answer bony's post in such a gentlemanly way. Congrats on your bike, BTW - and here's hoping that we can now stay on topic. Jack |

On topic, TRW, I have had similar experience here in NYC. Every day while I wait for the bike to warm up and I suit up, countless people have admired the bike and commented on how nice it looks. Many women have said "nice bike" and smiled in a way that invites much more than conversation. Mike |

I saved my Buell Custom seat and pillion I had on my XB12R and put them on my 1125. They fit just fine. |

+1 on the women liking the bike. Today was "wash and wax day" for the fleet (4 bikes - all filthy). I treated myself to a spirited ride on the 1125R (also freshly washed/waxed). Stopped for gas - an EXTREMELY attractive MILF pulled in behind me. She fumbled badly getting the pump to work. Being the boy scout I am, I jumped to her aid. While pumping her gas, she made small talk asking questions about my bike. The story isn't over. I meet her for drinks in about an hour. ++1 on chicks liking the bike. |

I have the touring seat on my mine. Works great and screws right in. What does it mean when chicks run when you take your helmet off? |
