Hey All... New here, picked up my 1125R last Friday evening. 350 miles on it now and very time I ride it justs gets better! Check engine and battery lights came on at approximately 150 miles. Took back to dealer on Wednesday, no error codes, current "flash" (May 4, 2008 build), charging system ok, battery not accepting / holding charge. Dealer replaced battery. Original battery only showed 11.8 volts. Dealer said that the batteries have a micro-chip in them and it was probably bad. Anybody know for sure if that's true? Rode bike about 90 more mile that day with new battery in it, idiot lights didn't come on. The past two nights I have been keeping it plugged into a battery tender. Hopefully the new battery was the fix. Putting a new set of Uly foot pegs on it this weekend (I'm 6'-1".) Keep the shiny side UP!!! |

Flh03rider... No micro-chip in the battery, more than likely it is just a bad batt with a dead cell... Still the dealers response cracks me up... This is the stuff (micro-chip in batt) that BMC needs to fix... Do you happen to have the part number for the Uly pegs??? Less than 24 hrs till I pick up my 1125R!!! V/R, Nick |

Hi and welcome to the forum. I picked mine up 3 weeks ago and all is going well. Im not sure about the chip in the battery. Mine did die on me but I brought it back with my Tender with no problems as of yet. These bikes are friggen sweet and you will have loads of fun on it. Where at in California do you live ? Im in Beaumont, maybe we can hit Ortega Hwy. sometime. Rob |

Nxtr - P/N N0006.1AD, left and right pegs, no springs or center bolts. I'll let you know if they need any trimming to fit the 1125's attachment points. Carmell - I'm up in Pleasanton, about 45 miles East of San Francisco. Ortega Hwy. might be a little bit of a "hump" for a one day ride. |

Yes they need some trimming on the back side down low. It's pretty obvious once you trial fit them. Enjoy! Mine is getting better everyday! Later Neil S. |

Flh, Hey thanks but I think that P/N is for the lightning pegs see link http://buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/Product.as p?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=4&CategoryID=7&ProductID =1941 This is the best pick I can find of the Uly peg http://buell.com/en_us/bikes/adventure/xb12xt/features.asp# Click on innovation then click on frame. I am pretty sure that Zac4mac has them on his... When I pick mine up tomorrow, I will try to get the part number for the Uly pegs, they are 1" lower like the lightning pegs but they are wider... Thanks again and Welcome to the Badweb... V/R, Nick (Message edited by nxtr on June 06, 2008) (Message edited by nxtr on June 06, 2008) |

Nxtr - Ok, just checked my invoice, it says: HDB Rider Footpegs for X. They're basically the same width as the stock 1125 pegs, but with the 1" drop and no rubber pad. Oh, and the "ground feeler" post is longer on these pegs so a little trimming will be needed. Thx. |

Feelers are short, peg is wide and flat. My feet like them a lot. The trip to Homecoming will be more comfortable than the trip to Texas.

no need to trim those feelers, just unscrew them and toss them in a box. tim |

If the threads are the same couldn't you swap the feelers off of the stock pegs? |

Uly footpeg feelers are part of the footpeg and are not (easily) removable. Sure you can wear them down, which is not too difficult, but they do not unscrew. 1313 |
