It's too hard not to twist the throttle till it stops. I love accelerating from first, do it right and you can ride one tire through 3 gears!! I love this bike, I went from a 06' GSX-R600 to the 1125R. I love the torque!! |

RD: If it was Laser he should have been stationary. To the best of my knowledge, Laser speed detection needs to be parked. Besides that bit of trivia, it SUCKS getting caught going that fast. In some states that speed would have got you a free ride to jail. Neil S. |

I tried to run once. I was doing plug burns for a buddy on his flat tracker back in the day. Back country road, shorts, no helmet, doing maybe 80 or 90, passed LEO on a side road. I crash into the woods, lay the bike down & quietly wait. Next thing I hear "C'mon out!". I walk out to the open rear door of his cruiser & get in. He takes me to the station, doesn't say a word, I sit there for hours in a room sweating. Turns out he was a good guy and gave me a ticket for a non-registered vehicle on the road. I'll never run again..... |

For those of you who are still "adjusting" to the law-breaking potential of the 1125, you may want to review this oldy but goody from Chris Rock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj0mtxXEGE8 (Message edited by towjam on June 02, 2008) |

This speed problem sounds tough. I'm so glad I held off on the 1125R purchase. I don't need any more tickets. Maybe they will have this fixed soon? |

When I see the violator, I estimate the speed to be one that would be fun to catch up to (cops like to drive REALLY fast),... Oh, REALLY!!! That must be why you guys drive 80 MPH everywhere you go, be it to lunch or wherever. I guess you do not understand the contempt that this behaviour breeds in the rest of us, do you"? Like, there are two sets of laws, one of cops and one for everybody else. As a criminal investigator for EPA, I used to work with state cops here in KY, both detectives and troopers, and it was amazing how fast they all drove with that smug feeling of impunity. We would be on a case and go through speed traps and everybody would just wave. Cops are an "interesting" bunch...that is why they have no civilian friends. |
