Stock 1125r 430 miles does not start in gear, yes I pull in the clutch. I thought it was an annoying safety feature. Went to the dealer and the one on the floor started fine. In diag mode the clutch state is and stays at 0. Is this correct? I don't have my owners manual on me. The dealer Buell tech thought it was a safety feature and knows nothing about the 1125. The Buell tech hasn't even read the owners manual, so I need help. So that I can help them. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Still love my bike it hauls Arse. | ||

No , clutch state should be 0(zero) when released and 1(one) when pulled in. Sense switch is most likely unplugged on one or both wires. Plug it back in and you're good to go. Zack | ||

Just under the reservoir by the banjo fitting are the 2 wires for the switch. They are inside a sleeve and just slide onto the switch pins. Pretty easy to dislodge if you're poking around there. Polarity shouldn't matter, plug them into whichever they fit best. Zack | ||

Thanks Zac, I shorted out the two pins and got the 1 to come up. plugged it back in still nothing fiddled with the switch and wah-lah... P.F.M. PURE F-IN MAGIC. I didn't even think about the fact that it was a simple switch on the clutch. Works like a charm... Thanks again | ||

this is awesome! My XB12 would not start unless it was in neutral. This morning I was in thick manhattan traffic on the way to work and stalled it... instead of looking for neutral I remembered reading this and just fired it up like I never missed a beat.!! +1 I love this place. |
