Well OK, not actually racing, but Buell UK have just supplied two 1125R's to the British Superbikes championship for use as safety bikes and to give celebrity pilion rides in the hands of Niall MacEnzie (ex GP & Superbike rider). The bikes have been resprayed in the colours of the series sponsor Bennetts Insurance, and in my opinion the paintscheme is hideous, although plain red would be quite nice but at least are getting the 1125R out in front of a knowledgeable sports bike buying public in the UK, even if they are not actually racing.

I like the way they did the white striping but think both wheel should look the same, I do not like the buell painted on the frame, but not bad. Mike |

Could it be that the British Buell folks are waking up? |

It is encouraging to see they are starting to show up on yonder shores! I like the paint scheme, except for the oversized Buell sticker on the frame. |

I don't care for the Buell on the frame either. It's not the my personal choice, but it is LARGE enough to be read from the stands. |

Yeah, if the rider's leg didn't cover everything but the last "L". ~SM |

I think they intentionally make it look large and out of place even if it is not very attractie--that way people take notice of it. |

Wasn't Niall one of the Buell suspension consultant/engineer/rider type folks while they were developing the 1125r? Nice....can't wait to see the post-event press (Message edited by ratbuell on April 08, 2008) |

I AGREE THAT IT NEEDS MATCHING WHEELS. I for one, apparently the only one, like the giant Buell logo. And yes Europe is very aware of Buell, I read that they sell the majority (I can't remember the exact #) of Buells and are huge customizers of the brand. |
