The quest for all the right gear never ends does it? But that is part of the hobby/fun for me... Even while street riding a tether is a good idea- don't worry about it. Only a few people even notice my front end strap. You will want to spin the tire a couple of turns to clean it and maybe put a little heat into it, but no - you don't need to do a burn out like the one pictured! I only do that when I am ready to replace a tire anyway. Awesome fun - it is the only thing that makes me look forward to replacing a tire |

Oh I'll line up with you, take the jump, and see how long it takes for you to catch me (you will).... We'll do some bracket racing too and see if we can send home some regulars on their hyper fast, stretched and lowered, Japanese flyers.... |

Scott I can feel my heart pumping right now, I got to go some were to practice take offs, this bike puts fear and adrenalin in me which is what I wanted, I know I have to respect it or it will bite me. Mike |

God a fairly decent shot of Loretta yesterday at the bar. Showing off her "good side".
Painted the muffler, it was getting sandblasted in front. Did it complete, including the tips. Can't tell they point 2 different directions now. Z |

Zack did you start the bike with the muffler off? and are you still thinking of modifying the exhaust? Mike |

Mike, i tried to, once a month or so ago. Won't run, the short pipes piss off tho o2 sensor... I ran a drill into mine to open it a little. 5/8", on hole each. Sounds better at idle, seems to have lost a little power, can't tell any difference at speed. I'll be getting a Hydrogen tank for my welder soon. Shortly after that, i plan on tinkering with the muffler still. Z |

I would like to buy a muffler to modify and will be watching ebay for a used one down the road. Kevin at Drummer is who I am waiting for also said he wanted to be the best not the first and is taking his time at making one for the bike, it looks like allot of R&D went into the exhaust system, I am wondering if the front chamber was removed would it effect performance, in the write up it says it is for noise abatement, if that is true then that could be removed and have a louder exhaust and not effect performance, what ever I do or buy must not mess up the power band, I just want a nice sounding exhaust system. Bearly the front wheel on the bike almost matches the corvettes, I like the gold wheels, I am planning of getting new wheels down the road probably silver or black, if I were to describe the 1125R to a car guy I would compare it to the corvette, I have had a couple of corvettes and one was the ZR1 way back when I had money, and the 1125R reminds me of that corvette. Mike, I couldn't agree with you more, cause I look at the 1125r as the two wheel equivalent of the ZR1. Plus for whatever reason, when I look at these posts and also how people acted at the International Motorcycle show when they were around this bike, everything is so similar. For example when I was there a guy who worked for the frame supplier was there, I about chewed his ear off asking questions about the bike just trying to learn everything I can about it. Mostly I confirmed allot of what I had already read on here. |

Thanks B Mike. The Wheels: It was a coin toss that decided for me between Translucent Amber or Red. I just wanted it look a little different than the millions of these things that are going to be running around someday. I ordered the Wheels just before the bike came in and changed them so fast that a couple of people at the Dealer think that I had some sort of special edition 1125R. The seat: That's the Firebolt Touring Seat on there not fastened down at the moment. The Vette: I wish the 1125R was faster than the Vette (C6 06 Z06). The Vetts just spins those skinny little 325's in the back trying to get going so I'll bet the 1125R is faster to 100mph. The Pegs: Not shown in this picture. The XB12Ss pegs are dropped about an inch as some of you know. I put them on here shortly after that picture was taken to give my knees more room with all the winter gear one. |

I have a few more pics but they're too big to post. I've tried but, they won't upload. I'll have to check on the price for the tail. I bought it almost a year ago waiting for the bike to come out. And yes, it's a XBRR tail section. I think retail is just under a grand. |

Neil how is the tank bag on the 1125, I have one and have not tried it but I do not think I would not like it, but on a long trip might be good to lie on long rides, anyway I got some plans of my own and I just might not have a tank bag if I can not find one that fits the bike and the other bags I have. No Rice I will have to admit that the color make the frame color look better, I want a black frame and trading wheels with the ulysses to give both bike a different look, I want to paint my bike but will have to wait to I have the money which is the easy part, the hard part is choosing the paint job color and graphics, I do know I want a black frame or the same color, anyway got a long time to thing about it till next winter. Mike: I really like the tank bag. It does not get in your way at all. Not quite as big as others but, that's always a trade off. Neil |

Thanks Neil I will give it a try to see if I can see my gps, I know they are comfortable to lie on when riding a long distance, so I will pack it good and see how I like it, I do want a bag that looks like my other bags and have found several so maybe I will get one of them if I like having a bag up front, I am real good a packing and will see if I need the extra space, I would like a drink system on bord and have back bags for this and can carry helmets to, I will try it and see how it feel then that will help me decide if a tank bag will be good for me.
