I just seen the D&D exhaust on ebay for 610 and if someone buys one I am looking for the stock exhaust. Mike |

Rainman I want to try to modify the stock exhaust, I can weld and have some idea's, I do not want to screw up my muffler, so I thought if I could get one used I could play with it. Mike |

well if you don't "screw it up" too bad and decide to use it would you send me your stocker? As loud as the D&D is (ear piercing) I would want to put the stocker on for long trips. |

Rainman I had a D&D on the ulysses and liked that design, But was to loud for me, I contacted D&D and I can buy there headers and waiting for them to get back to me for price, I have studied the design of the pipe and they did two things to control noise and first it the front chamber and second is the two small exhaust exits, so I have a few things I could try to do to the Muffler but might ruin it. I think you should keep it because you want to go back to stock for some of your riding. I am looking for a nice sound not to loud and I know that D&D must scream, I am sure I will find a used one or buy the headers from D&D for what I want to do, I also am thinking of getting a tig welder so I can build my own system, so if you want to get rid of it let me know I am not in a hurry to do this and would not be able to buy it from you till next month. Can you tell the difference in power if any? Mike |

Most of the difference i can feel is at 5 and up, wont keep the wheel down even with my weight up front, the only annoying thing i hate is how much you can hear, the pipe amplifies how touchy the motor really is, today the temp was high here in Dallas so the bike got really hot for the first time. Was never over 175 until today, at 190 it sounded like the bike was missing because there is no sound suppression with the pipe. |

So that pipe is super loud? I can see why you want to keep the stock mufler, I was hoping they cam out with a pipe like the xb bikes, I liked it on the ulysses even though it was loud it added power every were, also gave the ulysses more ground clearence but I gave the bike to my son and he did not want the D&D on it and thinks he wants a drummer.
