when will the cycle magz get a chance to review the production models verses the preproduction. most of them spoke well of the preproduction bikes only wanting to see a few changes for production models |

I think that any reviews need to be completed and ready for printing at least 6 weeks prior to the release date. If you had a release date of Jan 1, you would have to have everything done by mid November. It also depends on when Buell has test bikes available and when the mags want to fit it into their busy schedule. Time2Play Neil S. |

It's been done already and is still ongoing to an extent. |

I think the European Master Bike shootout takes place over the summer. I wonder if the 1125R will be among this years participants? |

I think the European Master Bike shootout takes place over the summer. I wonder if the 1125R will be among this years participants? Cycle world said something to the effect that if the 1125R isn't invited, it may break down the door, and crash the party to the Master Bike shootout |

I would think that Cycle World and Motorcyclist have the bike right now are are very close to printing the story if they have not done so already. I just got an issue of CW last week so I would bet that it not going to be in the next issue but the one after that. The Euro bikes are not shipping yet so I suspect the magazine bikes have not yet happened. I would also suspect that Buell will be able to furnish a bike to Masterbike IF it is requested. I don't think the manufacturers get to just send them bikes they are selected by the Masterbike panel. I can't wait to read the CW review. |

I did a quick Google search of Master Bike and saw Motorcyclist Magazine's issue was from May 2007, and if I remember correctly, MV Agusta's print add trumpeting their victory made it's debut in that issue. So the competition obviously takes place a couple of months sooner than I thought. |

I have been looking around at the office for an 1125R, but haven't seen any, although I haven't gone down to where the bike mag guys keep the testers. Maybe I can convince one of them to let me go one a test drive - I'll trade him for a Hummer or a Super Duty. --Sean |

I work for Source Interlink, formerly Primedia. I am the Tech Editor for Four Wheeler magazine, in the same LA office building as the our motorcycle titles. --Sean |

Is "formerly Primedia" formerly Peterson? |

Actually it is Source Interlink, formerly Primedia, formerly Emap, formerly McMullin-Argus, formerly Petersen, formerly General Media.... Do you see a trend here? --Sean |

Hear, hear. I'm going to the Vancouver Motorcycle Show next weekend, where hopefully they'll have an 1125 (I don't think any dealer in BC has one yet). However, like others here, I'd like to see how the production bikes stacks up especially against the Aprilia and Ducati twins, and would love to have the test in hand around same time as seeing the bike. |
