I shoulda NEVER ridden one on the track! I shoulda NEVER looked at one up close! I shoulda NEVER talked to Abe Askenazi at Laguna Seca about the design details! I shoulda NEVER planned to fix the racebike by paying cash when that VISA is calling to me: "SPEND ME!" You guys getting the 1125R's - just keep it down a little bit. PLEASE!!! Those of us less fortunate are crying in our beer... well, coffee. What hurts is being ABLE to buy one but trying HARD to resist the temptation - add to that the fact that I REFUSE to sell a bike to get a new one when the other isn't totally used up... but I have found space in the garage when the racebike gets fixed! WWAAAAAAHHH! Just had to get that off my chest. I feel much better now. Thanks for listening, doctor(s) |

Doctor Darko here... Listen up Steve.. Give up now. Might as well since you hang out with race enthusiasts from Glendale at Willow. So once a month, or probably more often, you will get the urge again. Maybe, just maybe I'll get my 1125R before this weekend. And you can bet on the fact I'll show up at Willow with it just to torment you a bit more. If this urge were a big problem, you certainly should not have volunteered at IMS on behalf of Glendale to man the Buell boot. It must have been torture for you to stand next to the 1125Rs and wax poetically to all the bycomers on the virtues of this wonderful motorcycle. Like I said, might as well acquiesce sooner rather than later. Asbjorn |

Hey this is Dr Phil. Dark is letting me use his account. Slaughter you need to quit being a pu$$y and just go buy one. Who is in charge of your life? It should be you. Reach down and grab ahold. Be a man for once and make the right decision. You can do it. I have faith in you. |

This is killing me too. I have the money, but the kids need to go to college someday too. I need another great commission year! |

I need another great commission year! Careful, there are those (eg. doerman) who feel no one should make a commission. Laborers, engineers and designers in Detroit are not worth their salt I guess even though many of this countries infrastructure, colleges and many of our educations were paid on the sweat off their backs. Granted quality slipped for a time, the products did not attract enthusiasm either. I guess they can't forget because many of the Big 3 products lead or rival Japanese quality now. Oh, and Pearl Harbor, we CAN forget that when its convenient. <soap> |

Careful, there are those (eg. doerman) who feel no one should make a commission. Fine, have the engineers sell the product themselves! Then the successful ones will want to be rewarded for making the company more money. They might ask for results based compensation (commission). |

Now I say this being an engineer, having managed 30 engineers & designers doing new product design & roll out... Have you ever tried to talk to an engineer about something you knew nothing about? If you know an engineer, is he ever done designing the 'thing' so you can sell it? |

Careful, there are those (eg. doerman) who feel no one should make a commission. Laborers, engineers and designers in Detroit are not worth their salt Careful there... Jammin_joules... That's not what I said in the other thread. Somebody paraphrased me as saying: So GM, Ford and or Chrysler don't deserve the same respect for their hard work and effort like you give Buell? And I agreed with that. When I bought my Ford in 05 and my GM in 06, the persons that sold them to me did get their commissions and we had an equitable deal. The difference is I am passionate about Buell (can you tell?) and have no specific passion for car manufacturers. Makes sense? Asbjorn |

EFF the rain, ride it anyway. As long as it ain't frozen, put on a slicker and you're good to go. Good Lord man, that's a beautiful 750 Commando , wait, it's got a disk brake in front, '74 - 850? Don't get rid of that piece of history. I always have had a soft spot for Nortons. Came close to getting a JPS back in '75, probably would have killed myself back then... Z |
