Ratbuell You made my day man... "first one off the truck" AKA - My 1125R set for Nov. I get number 1 of 3 for this year... glad I put my money down last month. I just hope all goes well and I don't, somehow, get the shaft (I have the luck of Homer Simpson some times). |

Yah, I was pretty stoked too. I've had a lot of folks asking about the bikes, but nobody has dropped any cash yet. Myself included...I need to strap one to my lanky 6'4" ass and make sure I'm comfortable on it before I throw down. Having 5 on the way first phase means that even if we have a rush, I'll probably still be able to get my hands on one. We ran the numbers today, too. We've sold twice as many Buells this calendar year (so far) as we did all of calendar '06. I hope the trend continues...it'll give me more ammo in the fight for our own showroom! |

Received a call from my dealer today. She say that my bike will be arriving in November. No specific date yet. I considered November delivery best case scenario, so I am stoked to say the least. |

Fresno HD/Buell. I know the issue has been explored in previous threads about how Buell distributes their bikes--whether it is by dealer order or by automatic allotment. I still don't know the answer to that. |

For those wondering, the orders are based on past unit sales of the XB family, and based on the number of pre-ordered 1125r units. Help yourself and your dealer - put down a deposit, and they could stand to receive more units! |

I will confirm what Ratbuell was saying... if you want an 1125R, you'll have to have a deposit as Buell will be pushing to fulfill orders with dealerships before sending unsold units to out to dealers. |

I was told a $1K non-refundable deposit would be required on a bike that I haven't seen in person, much less ridden. Not a chance. |

Happy to see I'm not the only dealership getting 5! My manager just got back from his out of town business and confirmed we're receiving 5 as well |

Thanks, I won't be. It isn't the amount, it's the "non-refundable" part that I don't go for. Policy is policy though. I'll live. |

Don't know about Florida, but in California there is no such thing as "non-refundable deposit." Yes, we have taken deposits to gage commitment, and we don't give them back until the bike shows up and then the buyer backs out, but we do give it back. Califonia litigiousness, maybe? |

In Missouri, you HAVE to refund deposits if the buyer doesn't want them. We also got confirmation of 5 by year end. The first 3 are already pre-sold, however. |

Josh is correct... I guess California and Missouri DO share some things in common!!! |

I was told that a $1,000 dollar deposit was required as well. I discussed this with the sales manager and we agreed on a non-refundable amount of $100 since the bike was a new model. If I decide to not make the purchase, I'll get an in-store credit for the deposit amount. I thought that was more than reasonable. |

Ouch! I gotta like my dealer! $500 dollar refundable deposit. Also no price jacking as they claim to be a MSRP sales only dealer. |

"Also no price jacking as they claim to be a MSRP sales only dealer." Sounds like price jacking to me. The "S" stands for suggested. I don't/won't pay MSRP for any vehicle. I guess if you have to be "first" you are willing to pay more. At a minimum that "S" includes TT+L before I walk in the dealership whether they like it or not. |

YES the S is Suggested, there will undoubtedly be dealers that will sell them at market pricing, which is more in line with supply and demand. Depending on how she rides and feels, it might be closer to the Duc 1098 $ # . Time will tell |

There IS good and bad with that S. Some dealers will deal under MSRP but in this state that's rare. I'm far more used to Harley dealers jacking the price UP from MSRP around here and if the 1125 becomes hot you can bet some of them will be doing that! |

My dealer sells at MSRP plus Freight whether it's the big H-Ds or the Buells. He doesn't jack up the price unless you want extras and I respect that. Plus, the sales folks, while not big on Buells, aren't high pressure and they're decent folks. Always have time for a Blast rider, although they don't understand it. |

It looks like the first bike in Pensacola will arrive in November, with two more in December. My deposit puts me in line for #2 - a Merry Christmas for sure! |
