I have seen much good press on the new bike, looks great, but my main concern is weather the local Harley dealer will be trying to fix it.....Right now I own a Uly and a Suzuki SV1000, and I love them both, but when service time comes, the SV goes to the dealer no problem, but I try to avoid taking the Uly to the dealer as service is atrocious, most of the people in the store know nothing or very little about Buells even though the engine is a Harley. Now with the Rotax engine, do you really trust a Harley man to fix a Rotax? |

do you really trust a Harley man to fix a Rotax? It depends on the Harley man. I know a few that I'd trust to fix anything mechanical, from any country. I also have met some Suzuki mechanics that I wouldn't trust to put air in my tires. If you've got a decent shop with a good wrench in Service, I wouldn't worry. |

i think buell is addressing that issue as we speak...a salesmen told me they are sending mech s to school now! When you go to buy your bike ask to speak to their certified 1125r mech... quiz him .. if he is a tool go to another dealer i have confidence that the "good dealerships" don't want to blow this one IMHO |

I started out as an airplane mechanic. And the joke is the same as med school grads. One out of every two airplane mechanics was in the bottom half of their graduating class! LOL! But I believe the previous posts have great merrit. My dealer has two techs who have been through Buell training, and do a great job on Buells. I believe they will do a great job on the 1125R too. That being said, as a Rotax, I don't think there will be a lot of engine issues. They build really good stuff. -roadrash1 |

They will be required to take the training before being aloud to touch the bike. SG |

They will be required to take the training before being aloud to touch the bike. And dealers also have to take Buell classes to work on any other Buells. doesn;t mean they always can. I know too many who cannot re-set a TPS, or figure out a bad o2 sensor. Plus even if dealer Y sends employee X to rotax training and employee X quits a few months later dealer Y is still registered. The best way to findout is to let the service dept let you talk to the tech that will be working on your bike. If they won't the find another dealer. |

There is a new and quite impressive protocol for the 1125r. I'd buy one without reservation. . . . . if they came in blue and had heated grips.
