1. There aren’t any available right now. 2. My current bike suits me just fine: it has over 50 modifications. 3. I believe that my bike will probably handle as well as a stock 1125R , because I weigh 235# in full gear and have modified the bike as follows: a. Ohlins forks/heavy spring b. Ohlins rear shock/heavy spring c. Ohlins steering damper d. Longer wheelbase. e. chain drive In otherwords, my setup is more like the XBRR than the 1125R is. 4. My current bike is paid for. 5. I know how to fix it. 6. It doesn’t need much fixing 7. I don’t feel the need for more power - I don’t feel that I am using all the power that I already have, riding "The Pace". 8. I like the idea of a simple air cooled motor, even though the one I have could be, (and has been), improved. 9. I don’t have too much trouble keeping up with the guys I ride with. If I rode a lot faster, I would be a danger to myself, and I would be riding alone. 10. I am too cheap and too old . PS : Most of the above, (except N. 10, of course), could change.

50+ mods doesn't equal cheap. You are kinda old, though. I just hope I can ride as "slow" as you do when I get older. |

You look good on Lil' Blackie and your leathers match. Anything that can make you look good is something you need to hold on to. |

good for you! you listed why your own bike is perfect for you. thank you for not just bashing the new bike. FWIW i think my XB is still a better fit for me than the 1125r as well. |

There may be 10 reasons for not buying one, but there is only one reason you need to buy one..... I want one! |

I often make similar lists for why I'm not going to have sex with Jessica Biel. I think if you have to go to the trouble of rationalizing why you don't need one right now, you've got it bad. Give in and enjoy . . . and imagine what you could do with 50 mods on an 1125R . . . |

Is anyone else having this problem? Wife: Are you watching those Buell videos again? Me: No . . . no, honey I swear . . . I'm watching porn . . . dirty filthy porn . . . this one features a midget, a jar of peanut butter and a dachsund. Wife: *looks skeptical* You can't lie to me. I can see your erection from here. You're watching those Buell videos again. |

Elvis - Let's just hope the missus doesn't discover the pile of old "Fuell" magazines you have stashed in the shed. And by the way, watch that grease on your collar. Danny - Excellent thinking on that one, as always. Fat Man - Couple of tricks to making all those mods: a. Buy as many of the parts used as possible. b. Install them yourself. c. NEVER add up how much they cost you. d. Don't forget "C". Matt - Everyone is waiting to see what your next "special" looks like.

The number one reason for me: It's NOT ORANGE! Everyone knows orange is the fastest color. My M2 Cyclone was "Molten Orange" and my XB12Ss is "Sunset Orange." I can't break the pattern; it's bad luck. |

Yes Orange is the fastest color. I think the 98 S1W Molten Orange was the best color ever. I've owned three Black S1's, One Black S3, a Blue XB9R and a Orange XB12X. I'm ok with the Black 1125R, I'm just sorry everyone is going to have one! |

1. There aren’t any available right now. Nor would I buy a first year version. But I might me more tempted IF it was a superTour. 2. My current bike suits me just fine: it has over 50 modifications. - Plus it suits me more than a "superbike" 3. I want to have a sport tour version. 4. My current bike is paid for. 5. I know how to fix it nor do I trust dealerships. 6. It is black 7. I don’t feel the need for more power - I don’t feel that I am using all the power that I already have, riding "The Pace". 8. I like the idea of a simple air cooled motor, even though the one I have could be, (and has been), improved. Simple went away with the x1 and it was air cooled. I don't like having multiple sensors that are a pain to troubleshoot and a pain to either purchase or replace. 9. If I rode a lot faster, I would be a danger to myself, and I would be riding alone. I mostly use my bike to commute to a place. I just blast up to the speed limit +5-10 and then cruise. 10. I am too cheap and too old. I'll wait for the bikes to show up on the used market (value) and I want to see how the next years bike is altered. |

Seems to be the ONLY remaining reason that holds any water . . 1. There aren’t any available right now. 2. There aren’t any available right now. 3. There aren’t any available right now. 4. There aren’t any available right now. 5. There aren’t any available right now. 6. There aren’t any available right now. 7. There aren’t any available right now. 8. There aren’t any available right now. 9. There aren’t any available right now. 10. There aren’t any available right now. |

Oh good gawd, Could I adapt it to my needs? Would the Uly bags fit? Would they look good? Since this engine is solid mounted would it do well on a 700+ mile day? Will it get 46+ mpg? Can you get the tall super padded gel seat? The bike is lighter than the Uly by 50 lbs and has about 50 more hp, does that mean you can carry more weight or pull larger tree stumps? If I were into pounding crotch rockets into the ground, the 1125r is the tool I would use. I think it looks awesome and I believe it will do the job. On track days it has to be faster, but unless you are racing for money how could it be more fun than throwing an XB around on a tight track? I'm quite satisfied with smokin' them in the twisties on my Uly....loaded bags and all, while heading out for a 1700 mile weekend. The right tool doesn't have to be the fastest tool. I'll head for the "best all around" trophy.....thank you very much! |
