One question. Why doesn't EB just become a member? Then there's no question about "who the man is". |

It is against HDI policy for employees of any of the companies it owns; Buell, H-D, the financial firm, etc, to post job related things in a forum like this without prior permission from the marketing folks. That is the whole point of the ANON post. And Jimi, I have just wasted a half hour looking at the metric fastener thread and you have at least a half dozen post about them, not just asking why but then say the answer to why is wrong. You did get zinged once and very mildly at that by an ANON but you were flat out annoying for most of th posts. |

Warning: This post is written by the notorious troll Jimidan, and the opinions expressed within are his and his alone, and do not represent those of Badweb, its directors and moderators, or the staff at Wally World. It is acknowledged herein that reading this post may be an inordinate waste of time, and the reader accepts all responsibility for any and all time used in the commission thereof. This post should be read for the sheer fun of it and it should not be used for the prevention of any disease, or as a referenced source for any pertinent information. Dave, It is called a rebuttal. What is wrong with that? He was making them too. This isn't a Presidential news conference, where you only get one question and no follow-up. What rules do you go by? Thanks for checking it out anyway, and for your opinion. It took you a half an hour to read that? Jeez, it didn't take me that long to write it! So I guess we will just have to agree to disagree then. I was making my best case for a change, and was offering my input and the supporting reasoning just like Erik requested. Who knows, maybe they will fix the bike from a "still a mix and match" to an all metric bike for next year, based in part from the feedback they receive from guys who give a darned like me. I will stack my "passion" for the brand against anyone's. It should be noted that Anony's first comment to me was the smarty pants comeback: Jimidan, If you have to pack all the tools for every fastener on your trips, I suggest you take up a simpler sport. Like canoeing. After that, I figured the gloves were off...} (Message edited by jimidan on July 25, 2007) |

You should see the east troy employees at the homecoming. when a bike pulls up that may something special done to it, or an older model, I see them running out there looking over the bikes like Christmas morning. I can personally attest to that. It wasn't till later that I put names with the faces. It is against HDI policy for employees of any of the companies it owns; Buell, H-D, the financial firm, etc, to post job related things in a forum like this without prior permission from the marketing folks. I don't doubt that's true but as I pointed out in another thread Steve Anderson frequently posts under his own name, so; excuse me if I'm a bit confused by the whole thing. |

liability. internet posts are being used everywhere now...etc. I know with our company, it is against policy for anyone to be quoted or talk with the press on company issues. too bad, but society has caused this one with lawsuits, etc. too bad. it is fun to discuss items with employees. I think buellers like this more than other makes..... |

All I know is I've always avoided being a walking billboard for anyone or anything. The only Buell shirt I ever owned was the one they gave me at Laguna seca last year in 06. But since the Anonomi have gotten so involved here I find myself wanting to wear Buell apparel. Not because I'm proud to be a Bueller (I am but it never warranted being a walking advertisement) but now because I'm proud of a company that gets involved with its customers at such an intimate level. Now I feel compelled to acquire Buell attire to show my support. It is with pride and much respect that I now wear my Buell hat. So Thank you Buell and congrats. You are the first company in my 37 short years to get me to wear a company's name. And that name is BUELL. |

Steve might be bending the rules a bit;) He seems to be in a position where he can get away with a little bending. Most folks in East Troy can't. I think he would need to do something pretty serious to get into real trouble. |
