Buellnick: BINGO!! That's why I own two such completely dissimilar bikes. One doesn't try to cut a diamond with a chainsaw, gotta use the right tool for the right job.

Thousands of miles with my Sweetie: The K1200LT

Day trips, commuting, solo long weekends and just plain fooling around: The XB12Ss.

I guess I could pick up another Old Wing pretty cheap for the occasional long haul and keep the Blast for in town, but I would like to find a NEW bike that works well on all roads and still keep the Blast for in town. That's OK. I've got a couple of years before I'm ready to buy.

Oh yeah! It's also easier to go grocery shopping with the Beemer...

"Oh yeah! It's also easier to go grocery shopping with the Beemer..."

Ha Ha. Kinda reminds me of all the times when I had a case of Bud on the left and a case of Bud light on the right side of my Road Glide.

It always did make for a good grocery getter.

When I had the Buffalo hide bags made for my new 87 Heritage Softail(they're on the Shovelhead now)the guy asked me how big I wanted them, since it was a custom job.
I told him "big enough for a case of beer and a bag of ice per side"
They're actually a little bigger than that.

I do miss shopping on the Wing. Between the top case, saddlebags, tail bag and expansive tank bag, I could fit a week's worth. Try that on the Blast.

Riding the 1125R in KILLER winds at Willow Springs, that fairing is AWESOME. I'm betting there's a Sport Touring windscreen that'd be awesome without giving up much streamlining.

Didn't pay close enough attention to see if the shape at the windscreen mounts was similar to the XB that you might use a Sport Touring windscreen from an XB or if Zero Gravity will soon be putting out a Sport Touring windscreen anytime soon.

Phone numbers on their website - heck, toll free, never hurts to ask.

still waiting for my 1125R, I could have bought the one at meridith harley buell, but they would not give me a discount, so I went to big moose in Maine, they gave me a discount on the price, went there monday on my ulysses and which has been in the shop at manchester harley buell since october, I bought it from manchester hd, and so I took it there for service, they did not put the bike back together right, and cross thredded a screw and other screws were loose, and the worst is it is leaking oil up under the cyclender head, I recomend staying away from that dealership, so now big moose will pick up the ulysses and fix the problems manchester could not, and to think they had the bike for two month and could not put it back together right. Now I am waiting for the 1125R to come in, should be any day now, and then they are going to deliver it to my house, which is over one hundred miles away, and they are only charging me 100 were manchester charged me 75.00 for less than half the way, and then they will take my ulysses and bring it back to fix it. I can not believe it took so long to repair my bike at manchester hd buell, and would never buy a bike from them again, big moose harley buell is a great dealership, I came in the afternoon and they worked on the bike intell I told them to stop, and would be better to bring the bike back, I got 500.00 off the price and the 1125R which is all the money I have and now got to save money to insure and regester, it is suppose to be in any day, I also heard that they may be another delay, but I am suppose to get one that is on its way, will have to hold my breath, I sat on it at meridith hd buell and liked it allot, now I am tying to find out luggage that will look good and funtion good, the looking good is the hard part, there is this girl called pinky she is a machinist for billit 2race and makes top clamps that have both the stock bars and the top clamp for lightning bars, this sounds like a realy good idea, I will post pictures when I get the saddlebags on and other things to make it a sport tourer, but more conserned with the sport riding, and looking forward to spring to go to racing school so I can do track days, and if someone tell me I got talent and should race I might just do that, but I just want to ride as fast as I can without worrying about cars or animals running out in front of me.
