>>>the front fairing bracket on the XB9/12R. That's an accurate statement. In fact, I think it'd be fair to say there's a lot more to that bracket than many folks know about. I see that bracket as quite revolutionary. Right or wrong? |

Right... There are other processes that might be first choice for a extremely high-performance wheel. Like my Blackstonetech CF wheels? too bad they're $1500 each. But if there's a high quality part out there you can bet there are quality people willing to find the cash.Street going Desmosedieci.I was aware of the fairing bracket and just wanted to point out an American manufacturer of high quality wheels. As far as the statement about the Chinese making copies for cheaper,i'll point to the slider argument of a couple weeks ago.I HATE what the Chinese do to us.And i HATE sourcing parts to them.I don't want no stinkin' Chinese parts on my bikes,PERIOD. |

Oh, and in the entire 700+ threads here, has anyone mentioned COUNTERBALANCING???? Think of the weight savings you could achieve by not having to make everything extra-beefy to withstand the shaking forces.... |

It seems to me we have had some major hints dropped: -------------- Court, posted on 6/6/2007: ">>>anybody heard from the little birdie lately? Yes. I think you'll be quite surprised and perhaps a bit stunned. Watch your back . . they may not be coming from where you think." http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=32777&post=902369#POST902369 -------------- Court, posted on 6/6/2007: "Hehehehe....and of course they'd never do an ooopsy and accidently get a new page up too soon while they are fiddling with it. Ya gotta love human beings!" http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=32777&post=902413#POST902413 --------------- Court, posted on 6/26/2007: "Well, there's one thing for sure. It's not a snake . . . if it were, it'd bit ya. Don't say the good folks at Buell didn't do their part to spill the beans. Exciting times." http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=158664&post=915660#POST915660 ---------- OK, I'm excited. Is there something sitting right there at Buell.com that we're missing? The only thing I can find is a new Uly photo on the main page. I'm still looking.... |

That Uly "Own all the corners" video was out ~1 month before the bike, which got most of us really wound up before the bike's release. Then DaveS got his "Cycle World" one week early with a full page ad for the thing. Maybe one of our PhD internet geeks will find something we mere mortals can't. |

The salesman at my dealer said it is a high-reving 1100. I ran into one of the mechanics at the same dealer Sunday. He says it is a 1340 detuned RR putting 120hp to the rear wheel. He said they already have a list of the bikes that will be delivered. The new Buell is called......."New Model" on his list. |

What about the old Nova V4 engine that Harley mothballed? http://www.bikerenews.com/AntiqueBikes/CodeNameNov a.htm The Nova was a V4 (or V2, or V6!) that was water cooled, DOHC, and was touted to make 135hp. They spent a good bit of money on it. Might Erik Buell and friends have a go with it? |

Once the rest of us know the secret, the clues will seem quite obvious in hind sight. Having said that, I have no idea at this point either. I'm sure I have heard some good clues but those 'mushrooms' are buried among all the fertilizer that's been put forth. |
