https://www.rideapart.com/news/500801/vance-hines- v-twin-race-motor/ I didn't read it the first time I saw the article. Interesting they choose to use that platform now that Buell is back. |

Hey Lew, Just giving you a warning that nearly everyone here will shun this cool news, because there nothing stock on the bike and therefor completely illegit, been there done that. I think any performance or racing connection to Erik's genius, even if by name only, is very cool and makes me proud to have been riding his creations for 27 years now, cynics be damned.

100% bad ass motor and a quartet of bad ass RACE BIKES. I bet ZERO parts are actually interchangeable with a stock 1190r, MAYBE the clear headlight part, I guarantee none of that big block twin will— probably the basic architecture is close but WAY bigger. I bet the “buell” tank sticker is smaller and even lighter than a stock one, every OUNCE shed helps even with minimum weights required for pro stock. Disappointing that there is no horsepower ratings or price for the motor in the article or on V&H website... |

If Ford Chevy and Toyota can claim their Sprint cup cars as Mustangs, Camaros, and Camrys, then these are still Buell's in my book. |

Anyone think that when V&H was campaigning HD in Pro Stock that there were any engine parts coming out of Milwaukee? |

From talking with Matt Smith at Bandimere a few years ago, I believe he claimed the EBR fairing/windscreen was an actual factory part. Yes, not much, I KNOW, but it still gives me something to root for when I go to the races for ENTERTAINMENT, a brand, a person, a history, and a connection to my life. It's especially cool when Hector, that year's 2009 champion, lets your wife roll his bike down the staging lane!
