Congrats to Matt Smith on him slaying H-D in the finals! He is also the fastest ever in Pro Stock Motorcycle! Let the naysaying begin, but I'll always be proud of any accomplishment related to Erik. p.s. The fairing is an actual 1190RX fairing, but I know it still won't matter to some. Are you SURE that's an 1190RX fairing? That shape is far more reminiscent of the original 1125R to me... |

Very good source, but I don't feel it's up to me to divulge them, unless I get subpoenaed or something! Looks right to me.

Is that an EBR front wheel? if so than an EBR crossed the line first in my book. It would be interesting to know how many OEM production parts actually end up on a purpose built race machine like this. |

Not sure about the front wheel, could be. We didn't get to the Mile High Nationals this year, so I didn't get an in person look at the bike. Maybe next year. |

I'd about guarantee it's not an EBR wheel As for how many parts from EBR on this? sub 5, and that's probably on the high side. |

To add - dont be fooled by the Carbon Fiber disc attached to the front wheel as being the perimeter brake. It's there to make sure the lights catch the wheel and record correct time and mph etc |

How many Pro Stock motorcycles have any parts from the bikes they're made up to be? It's like a NASCAR Cup car. We know it's no more an EBR than a Vance & Hines H-D is a V Rod. Or an Indian FTR 750 is the same as the FTR 1200. Still, it's nice to see the brand recognized |

Crusty has it right. The nay saying comes from those who choose, in their elitist mind, which form of racing is worthy. And, those anti-mainstreamers will always jump on NASCAR, yet there is no other form of racing that has such high sustained speeds, zero driver aids, close finishes, pit stop action, true attrition, contact without shattering like glass, and a large enough field to create racing all around the track. Hybrid, there is no koolaid, just a lifelong race fan of all forms, and I actually find a reason to root for particular racers + teams, for all sorts of reasons including; the drivers hometown, the sponsors, their personality, and yes the MANUFACTURE. I'd like to know what form of truly stock racing you follow, because I'd bet it couldn't keep half the fans from nodding off for an afternoon nap. Once again, I like all forms of racing, some are just more thrilling than others, and if you haven't experienced Top Fuel, which is where you'll also find Prostock bikes, I truly feel you have never experienced the pinnacle of raw power! And, yes Top Fuel is the furthest thing from stock that there is, and I couldn't care less. At no point did I ever say there were stock wheels on the bikes, but I do know the fairing is a stock part. Next year,at the Mile High Nationals, I'll ask Matt Smith and the Aranas themselves, what parts besides the fairing are stock (which I doubt there any) and I will let you know, since it is that important to you. That is also a great thing about the NHRA, the accessibility to the racers during the events. What other form of racer would let your wife roll his championship bike down the staging lanes, very cool!
EBR also did work with some in Prostock Bike on the bodies (aerodynamics) for the bikes. |

You dont need to ask Matt, he lives about 30 from me and a good friend was on his crew for a season and a half. I raced with AHDRA for 8 years. Im very familiar with top fuel harleys, was on a crew for a pro drag (one step below the top fuel, still nitro) team for several years. Let's put aside whatever it is that makes you think Im a naysayer for a second and look at what I said. Nothing on them is Buell/EBR except maybe an item or two. Someone asked about the front wheel, YOU said it might be, I merely pointed out it's not and my evidence. But, whatever man. Go talk to Matt or the Aranas about whatever you want. Keep calling me a naysayer. Keep rooting for whoever. But dont get mad when someone points out facts |

The "koolaid" snark was out of line and low class. (Message edited by Blake on December 14, 2018) |
