Man, that is some seriously bright light there. I'd hate to meet you head on with them lit up like that. |

I'm quite aware of Melvin and his money maneuvers. It's a shame last year's sale couldn't be called under scrutiny again by the bankruptcy court but I'm sure he waited out any time limits or overview of his promises. I was just hoping for a result that wouldn't leave people high and dry at some point. Casting aside any AX or small displacement or other cool ideas speculated on. Just the simple supply and tinkering needs owners will have down the road. These machines will always have a cult following. Attrition will shrink the numbers of operational machines. Lack of parts and wear items will disable even more. Driving costs higher along with shrinking numbers will move ownership out of even more hands. Thus killing part of Erik's dream i think. Museum pieces or rich men's garage mahal toys being a possible result. Maybe we'll see American Pickers finding Buell bikes and parts in crazy old guy's barns. Do you have a barn Court? I may be too simple minded to imagine the troubles of the one stop worldwide shop for everything Buell but it seems to me it could be done with a minimal workforce. An old fashioned parts guy who knows everything, knows what he has, how many, and exactly where they are and someone to process orders and handle the paperwork. Ah well, I'll quit before everyone starts pointing out holes in my idea. |

Don't need to know where everything is or what you have on hand, software can be cheap. https://partkeepr.org/# |

True, but I used to do it the old fashioned way for years. Just a pen, note book and a cell phone. Another vid i hope is just click bait or an upload of old info. It stresses "2017 Hero EBR Upcoming Bikes" and then proceeds to give the original list price from 3 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j93-3FADmPs |

The parts market for the Harley made Buells could be a decent business and that is what Twin appears to be doing but there just weren't that many EBRs ever sold for that to be a good long term parts business IMO. Unfortunately the parts needed for keeping Harley made Buells on the road are not what LAP is selling. |

Did LAP get rid of all of the old Buell parts in the auction LAST year? |

LAP never had a vast selection of old Buell "upkeep". The stuff they had was mostly racing related or one off R&D parts that I saw. HD was responsible for the normal everyday parts not Buell. |

Well I just knew that had a bunch of Buell stuff - body panels, shocks etc...I picked up a lot from them a year ago ...Man, that was a cool trip. 28 hours of driving in 36 hours. Loaded the entire cargo area of my car up and came away with some cool bits |

Was this mentioned? "Buyer to sign I.P. Purchase agreement which outlines a 10 year license for Liquid Asset and EBR Motorcycles, LLC to continue usage of the brands and IP in the sale of excess inventory and support of the dealers/riders as needed." This is under the IP and tooling section which suggests that LAP will be providing some level of support for 10 years, unless of course a new buyer will pick up the terms. |

Has anyone picked up their stuff from the sale yet? I'll be going soon and just wondered what the process is? |

I called LAP and asked today. They said just bring a copy of your invoice to pick up the stuff. I asked if I could have some one pick up the items for me, they said yea all they need is the invoice. I won 3 engine stands, got them for $15 a pop plus them BS fees. |

I notice the EBR IP/tooling auction has been removed from the "Proxibid" site that allowed online bidding, but LAP's page still has a link to take you there. |

Looks like the EBR 1190 Owners Group on Facebook is working towards that goal. |

Smart move. For $250K you could put together a pretty fair stash of parts that would provide some comfort. Essentially, create their own 5 year plan. |

Msrp $8,000 handlebars, $1,200 valve shim kits, $25k power train assy, $4500 headlight assy. Obviously these are al la cart, parts book prices. Some seem beyond that. $25k for a power train on $15k bike. Crazy. Just fishing I guess. $13k battery pack. Maybe an electric or hybrid model was in the works? |

Anyone know where we could look at schematics to figure out what some of these parts are? Im looking at the list and not entirely sure what some of the parts are, but might be something I could use in my project(s). Might. |

"People" need to know WTF they're looking at before they start spewing shit... Part numbers and the suffix convention (.1B6 started on RS's, .1B7 started on RX's, .1B9 unique to SX's, and so on...) are vital pieces of information to keep "people" from making fools of themselves (or making them akin to the typical H-D parts person in selecting the right Buell part).... Seems most of the HIGH $$$ stuff is for .H1B - whatever that relates to. Hell, for all we know, it could be prototype/sample parts for an AX. With tooling costs incorporated into the sampling/prototyping costs, it should be exorbitantly high cost...
The 25K powertain is for the RS (a 40K bike...). The ET-V2 powertrains are 10K powertrains for (originally) ~19K bikes. But WTF do I know?!?! 1313 |

My bad, didn't catch RS, forgot about those monsterously expensive jewels. Maybe the 8k handlebars go to one of those too |

I got 2 - 2009 1125 crate motors, brand new for 4grand. An RS motor was there, with a minimum 8grand price tag. |

What is the disposition/quantity of whole 1190 type bikes for sale or auction? Have they all been sold or moved into another category? I must have missed a large number of posts. |

LAP had probably 2-3 dozen bikes for sale at the liquidation sale. Some were mules, a few new bikes, one SX in the crate. Even a Chinese Wee-Strom. No idea what's left. |
