Harley-Davidson of Chester Springs HD of Chester Springs is part of the White's HD dealership network in Pennsylvania. White's (the main dealership) is still listed as an EBR dealer. |

It appears that there is, perhaps, a truly unique opportunity for a committed super-daeler that was able to do quality, top quality, long distance work. Dave Steuve set the standard for selling Buell to folks all over the USA . . . flying them in for memorable pick-up experiences and remaining, long after the sale, an effective advocate with the factory to insure his customers got top notch service no matter where they were in the country. If a dealer were to make a true commitment, learn to leverage technology and the myriad of online service and procedures from EBR, I can see a business model that may be new, innovative and profitable. It's akin to . . . as I have said for about 7 years . . .climbing a greased mirror. |

Going along with what Court posted earlier about visiting some of these dealerships, there's no indication that several of them are EBR dealers on their websites. Maybe the current dealership "model" for at least some of them is: EBR: "Look, you don't have to do anything unless we sell a bike in your area via our webpage. If that happens, we'll notify you and deliver the bike to your dealership when it's built. You'll have to uncrate the bike when it arrives, check the air in the tires and put some gas in it, take the customer's payment, file the sales/title paperwork and give them the bike. We'll pay you for your effort." Dealer: "OK, we'll be an EBR dealer." |

Here's one example of an EBR dealer's website. Now this is Action Powersports, the closest dealer to the factory. I believe they even hosted an EBR event earlier this year so you'd think they'd be a pretty big promoter for the brand, but there is no mention of EBR on their webpage:

If you REALLY wanted to be scared . . . call them on the phone and ask . . . . "what is the displacement of the most popular EBR model?" Basics. Basics. Basics. |

I just noticed that the motorcycle dealer MCC in IL, advertises the brand EBR, along MV Augusta, Ducati, Triumph, KTM and Norton... This is the kind of dealer to get, IMHO. http://www.teammcc.com/ http://www.teammcc.com/inventory/v1/Erik-Buell-Rac ing/ |

Very cool . . great website and an interesting looking dealer . . . I'd be putting together a "dealer familiarization" package and making some face-to-face with some of the dealers offering "factory help". I love the way they have that website arranged and the bicycles rounds it out nicely. Many, including the 2 oldest, dealers in the country . . started out as bicycle shops and morphed to Harley-Davidson shortly after the turn of the century. |

Whoops. Do not mean to be a party pooper BUT.... they no longer carry EBR either (phone call today at 12:29 est). This news sucks. They do carry a good line of other bikes but not to my liking. George, Thank you for considering MCC Motor Cycle Center in Villa Park, Illinois. My name is Peter and I will be more than happy to be your information contact here. Unforunately, we are no longer carrying Erik Buell Motorcycles. Is there anything else I might be able to help you out with? Have a good day and hope to talk to you soon! The updated EBR site has some type of email news subscription link at the bottom of the main page (and dealer page). I signed up a day or so ago. No messages received yet. |

Anyone catch the History page addition? Very nice to see, and I think it's a good step in reinforcing credibility for otherwise uninformed visitors. http://www.erikbuellracing.com/history |

Apparently EBR does still have a dealer in New Jersey. Wide World Powersports in Wayne has posted on Facebook that Erik will be visiting their dealership on December 8. |

Wide World Powersports in Wayne has posted on Facebook that Erik will be visiting their dealership on December 8. That means that Erik will be at the New York Show! And if Erik's there, I bet Mike K's going to be there too! This is looking better all the time! I wouldn't miss this for all the farms in Cuba! (Message edited by Crusty on November 27, 2016) |

"Apparently EBR does still have a dealer in New Jersey. Wide World Powersports in Wayne has posted on Facebook that Erik will be visiting their dealership on December 8." Maybe the three missing dealers are due to lapsed agreements. Glitch...you're off the hook. |

I'm beginning to think the 3 "lost" dealers might just be a goof made during the site update. Here's what the list looked like on October 1 with the "missing" dealers highlighted:
Dillon Brothers in Nebraska still shows EBR on their website. Wide World Powersports announced they're having Erik at their store talking about the new bikes next week, so I'm guessing they're still a dealer. HD of Chester Springs, PA is owned by White's HD in Lebanon, PA, who remains listed as a dealer. The two dealerships are ~55 miles apart, so that doesn't seem like a big impediment to someone who wants to buy an EBR. |

See link: http://www.erikbuellracing.com/dealers All 16 dealers now showing up on dealer section of EBR web site. Glitch, you're off the hook again. |

Is that any relation to Kosman Specialties? Redway must be pretty remote. |
