They're about to open their new R&D center next month: http://www.rushlane.com/hero-motocorp-jaipur-rd-ce nter-12178058.html It's so ironic to see Erik in the photos of the groundbreaking for the center from a couple of years ago. Given their track record up to now, I hope their Chief Technology Officer, Markus Braunsperger, (formerly of BMW) isn't counting on this as long-term employment. |

Have they managed to bring the 250/300 to markets yet? The Honda beater that EBR designed? |

I know all of you have been awaiting the thunderous news with which HERO will open 2016 while also showing their mighty design team's muscle after giving Erik the finger. Yep, FEAST YOUR EYES ON THIS BABY. The Munjal boys Naveen and Pawan new they could do much better without Erik's brand of creativity. See for yourself....

Is the duct tape around the window stock? Or do you have to pay more for that? |

The window is NOT an option, it is mandated by the government so you can keep your eye on the family in the bin. The free window kit with thread, is yours to sew in as desired. Or you can punch a hole and use the enclosed marking pen to draw it on, as pictured above. See, now would Erik ever have thought of that? |

You keep saying that... what basis in fact do you have to say that Hybrid? The other possibility (which I can't prove or disprove, but that seems more likely) is that after the shutdown of the Buell division of Harley Davidson, Erik financed EBR out of pocket until he was out of money, then took on what customers he could find and that the circumstances allowed. So "he invited them in" kind of misses the point. The number of companies looking to make a major investment in a new US non-cruiser motorcycle company was zero, so EBR was lucky to find even one, and there wasn't any money left to keep moving forward without more investment. So saying EBR invited in Hero is like saying a company "invites" any big customer. You have a few degrees of freedom, but at the end of the day, you are playing the hand you are dealt. |

>>>So "he invited them in" kind of misses the point. It's also patently inaccurate. There will be a time that the events will be properly chronicled and documented. Some statements, retrospectively, will be proven to be pure stupidity driven by a need to "stir the pot". At this point there is simply nothing to substantiate the inferences that flow from "invited". At this point, I can offer no more than a personal opinion. My personal opinion is that. . . It's wrong. |

He didnt invite them in? I mean, he owned EBR, right? He allowed them to become such large shareholders in his company, correct? Tell me which parts I got wrong, I want to know the truth. |

And another new model "from Hero", the XF3R. Looks like a streetfighter version of the EBR-designed HX250R:
http://www.autoevolution.com/news/hero-xf3r-is-a-modern-looking-streetfighter-concept-that-rocks-104478.html There are quite a few pics and several videos of this thing on the net. Considering what appears to be outstanding fit and finish on it, I'll bet this is a bike Hero got from EBR's factory in the middle of the auction a few months ago. The very appearance of this bike has EBR's design team written all over it. Hero made out on their 2+ million dollar hussle of EBR. |

I think Hero is in trouble. Honda is building a distribution for really good bike faster that Hero is bringing modern bike to the market place. |

Many more pics of the XF3R here: http://www.motoroids.com/news/auto-expo-2016-does- the-hero-xf3r-concept-impress/ On a side note, the author of the article doesn't like it much and is very disappointed there was no Hastur 600 at the show. |

I just pictured our friend Hybrid... near death from dehydration accepting an offer of an IV and some water to drink in exchange for all his material possessions including the clothing he's wearing. He'll later tell the story about how he invited the water-bearer to make the deal. |

The Harley guys pretty much hate the Street cycles Yeah, but they pretty much hate anything that isn't a Big Twin or a Sportster; and they ain't too sure about the "Girls' Bike" either. They never came to accept the V-rod, as well. To be honest, I find the Street a very interesting motorcycle. One of these days, I'll take one out for a demo ride. |
